The latest batch of festivals has barely ended, and Konami is already announcing a new event. Or, rather, events, as we have the dates for the first 3 Tryout Duels, though details only for the first one. It's unclear weather these will replace regular events for the specific months or if they'll run in parallel, though we lean towards the latter.

The events (which have no specific name, just Tryout Duel/Rental Competition 1, 2 or 3) will take place during the following dates:

  • Tryout Duel 1: March 1st/2nd - March 5th/6th
  • Tryout Duel 2: March 9th/10th - March 12th/13th
  • Tryout Duel 3: March 30th/31st - April 2nd/3rd

As usual, the exact date depends on your time zone. You'll have an additional 48 hours after each event ends to claim your rewards, of which we know nothing yet.

Unique to these events is the inability to use your own decks, with everyone having to rely only on the loaner decks. This will allow Konami to dictate the exact power level of the event, and will put everyone on even playing fields. So far, we only know the decks (but not the full lists) of the first event: Elemental HERO, Stardust, and Utopia.
