Slice and dice the onions. Put some oil in a skillet, and add the the onions until they're soft and see-through. Add the rice and cook for another minute.
In a pot, put the ground meat and the above mixture. Mix it well, and add condiments to your liking.
Remove all the leaves from the cabbage and cut them in half. Fill each leaf with about two tablespoons of the above meat mixture, then roll. Repeat until out of cabbages.
Put all the rolls in a pot and add the tomato paste and water. Can also add some bacon between pieces. Add some water if needed. Cover the pot with aluminum foil or a lid.
Place in an oven and bake for about 2 hours. Remove the lid/foil and cook for another 2 hours.
