Twitch Drops are live today for Madness at the Darkmoon Faire during the expansion's theorycrafting stream! Things are a little different this time around though, so let's jump into it.

  • Blizzard is giving away 2000 Gifted Subs on Twitch throughout the theorycraft streams.
  • Twitch Drops are active which give you a total of 2 Darkmoon Faire packs for watching streams.
    • Watch 2 hours of Hearthstone on Twitch for the first pack. (Between 9:00 a.m. PT and 12:00 p.m)
    • Watch 2 additional hours from another pack (Between 12:00 p.m. PT and 6:00 p.m. PT)
    • Drops are active between 12:00 p.m. PT and 6:00 p.m. PT. (Starting at
  • Theorycraft decks being played must include at least 10 Madness at the Darkmoon Faire cards.

There are two big changes from normal theorycrafting streams.

Twitch Drop Timings

The first change is the timing of drops. Instead of having one availability window to watch Hearthstone for both packs, you must watch in two separate windows, each containing their own pack. We've put together a timezone table down below for you to easily see when you want to be watching.

It is also worth mentioning again that in order to earn your two Darkmoon Faire packs, you have to watch a total of 4 hours of Hearthstone. Blizzard is really looking to pump up those Twitch numbers.

Theorycrafting Deck Change

There has been a large change to how the streamed theorycrafting decks work. Instead of the usual "play whatever you want, theorycraft away", Blizzard has enforced a new rule which requires that all decks played on stream to have, at a minimum, 10 cards from Madness at the Darkmoon Faire. This was done from community feedback.

The theorycrafting streams of previous expansion launches have been met with plenty of resistance from the community citing the meta being solved before anyone actually gets to play. Of course, that isn't what is really going to happen during one of these events where only a handful of people are playing decks, but you cannot ignore the influence these streams have on the general player base.

Blizzard made the right call to give everyone this deckbuilding rule. Not only will it prevent certain decks that will end up being groundbreaking from showing up on streams today, but it will also force everyone to try out new combinations of cards that may have previously gone untouched, potentially leading to different types of innovation come day 1.

Quote From Blizzard

To bolster our usual Theorycrafting Livestreams and Pre-Release Weekend, we’re introducing something completely new: A Pre-Launch Party! To sum it up, we’ll be doing Mega Bundle code giveaways, Twitch Drops, sub giftings, and more in the lead up to the launch of Madness at the Darkmoon Faire and Duels: Season One!

Our goal with the Pre-Launch Party is to make this period feel a bit more interactive for everyone while celebrating our incredible community and the launch of the new expansion. Check out the calendar to see what’s happening around the community and what we've got in store for you!

Theorycrafting Livestreams & Twitch Drops

On November 12, Hearthstone creators will showcase the Madness at the Darkmoon Faire set 5 days before launch on their personal channels. This time around, things will be a little bit different. Participating creators will be required to have at least 10 cards from the new Madness at the Darkmoon Faire expansion included in each deck, and duplicate cards are allowed (such as x2 of 5 cards).

Watch 2 hours of any Hearthstone stream on Twitch between 12:00 p.m. PT and 6:00 p.m. PT for another one! Card packs will be locked until the expansion launches on November 17. You must link your Twitch and Battle.net accounts before you can receive a drop.
