Rank popularly stats. Where are they?

I'd like to know where most players are at and where I stand. As of right now I'm dancing between plat 3 and 2.

Its hard to grasp any usefull information as people don't put the same ammount of time in the game.
For example, even the best player in the world won't achieve top 50 Master without investing 8h/day at least.
On the other side, there are plenty of casuals who fills lower tier ranks by playing for just a few days and then never touch the game again. 

But if you want an estimative, i'd say Gold is average, Platinun is above average, Diamond is elite and Masters should be around 5% of all active accounts.

I don't play too much rank but I got to silver quite quickly in about 3 hours(from iron) so you need to put quite a lot of time to climb even to gold, I think also many players have "ladder anxiety" just as I do a lot of players don't even touch ranked.. so saying 5% of the playerbase is masters is saying too much in HS 5% of the play base were diamond 5+(equvalent of old rank 5) in that star system with win streaks..

The answer is that.. it depends on how the LP system actually works.. we need stats from Riot and they will release it probably at some point.

I've reached Master yesterday after about 1 month of play and I've started around rank 2000, which means there should be 2500-4000 (really vague estimate) people in master rank right now, if it works like hs legend. Don't know if that can help you putting numbers in perspective.

Edit: also, I found that winning or losing in plat and diamond gives/takes 20 LP every time (at least for me). Which means the LP system in those ranks is equivalent to the old HS star system in ranks 5 to 1 (or the new one in diamond 5 to 1 (and on lower ranks for non-legend players)). Except in LoR this system goes on for what would be the equivalent of 40 HS stars, which makes it a bigger grind to get back to the top technically-while if you are not already a HS Legend/LoR Master player, then the grind is probably easier in LoR.

This means LoR might have a higher percentage of Master, Diamond and maybe Plat players compared to HS.

Not to kick you down or anything but a winrate at lower levels never really translates one on one to higher levels. Players at bronze and silver are a lot more prone to make mistakes and often don't play the best meta decks (because they're either unaware of what's good or don't have the cards for it).

So yes, your winrate right now is more than fine but expect it to drop by quite a bit as you climb higher.

I hate to say it but that win rate doesn't mean much. I had a really high win rate too till I hit gold 2, then it started to dip. At gold 1 I struggled a bit but finally moved into plat. At that point you really have to have a basic understanding of most cards in the game and make very few mistakes to climb. I was stuck in plat 4 for quite some time before something clicked one day and now I dance between plat 2 and 1.

At some point I'll get into diamond then I'll work for masters then top 500. I'm invested now. I liked the game so much I put enough money into the game to buy every card and I do mean EVERY CARD. Not just the ones I needed.

I was masters in beta so I started season of plunder at plat IV. From plat to diamond I played multiple decks and even some home brews. Once I got to diamond I used one meta deck only and learned each match up inside out. I pulled up each opponent's deck up in mobalytics at match start. If you are serious about ranking up you should be doing this. I also quit playing if I felt I was even slightly tilted. It took me a little less than 200 games in diamond to reach masters. I had about 56% win rate which is probably my skill ceiling and took about a month.

I don't try hard to rank in masters because I am not good enough to get to high level master. Not sure if I will go for master again in season of fortune but I really have enjoyed the game so far.
