[Hearthstone Card (Spikeridge Steed) Not Found] came back as a priest spell. Hmm honestly i'm not sure what to think about it. It seems good SOMETIMES when you get it from random generation, but it doesn't seem good enough to run in your deck... Wait the only deck i see this getting play is in N'Zoth, God of the Deep Priest decks, ONLY if the Elekk is a beast minion. (Which i'm like 99% sure it is.)
In wild i don't see it getting any kind of play, Ress/Big priest prefers big minions with additional effects (Deathrattles, etc.) and Reno priest will never run it, because it just messes things up for them.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.

The problem with a Spikeridged Steed in Priest vs Paladin is that Priest doesn't have the endless supply of Silverhand Recruits. Obviously it is big pile of stats for the cost, but if the mount cards become too popular, I can see Secret Rogue rising to the top by punishing with Blackjack Stunner.
Priest can go hard into the late game and they tend to use small value oriented minions that can enjoy and extra buttload of stats. It's not a great card to add to decks, but with all the generation priests have access to, I believe we'll end up seeing a lot of this card.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL) Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
This card is certainly interesting because its basically a stronger Spikeridged Steed and in a class where card discounting is relevant.
But it suffers from the fact that it requires priest to actually stick minions on board, which is an ask for a class that barely plays for tempo.
Still, this card absolutely crushes aggro decks, and without a silence will likely slow the game so much against midrange that priest simply wins from there. I take it that the Elekk is a beast as well (because why wouldn't it be) so that's one more reason to run it. For that reason this one gets high marks from me, but taken down a peg because priest is not really a class that plays for tempo.

This card is so much better than Spikeridged Steed and only for 1 mana more. Also with all of priest's mana cost reductions and infinite card generation, this spell will be quite difficult to deal with. Might even warrant running silence or more transform effects

This card is definitely playable, but whether or not anyone actually plays it is a different issue. The only deck I could envision this being utilized in is a midrange deck with N'zoth, which may be a thing, but probably not. Maybe some kind of buff priest? But that also doesn't feel very realistic.
It isn't a bad card, but I don't expect it to be played.

The Elekk this card leaves behind is a beast, so maybe N'Zoth decks would consider running this. Stats aplenty on this card, but we're not living in 2016 anymore, meaning that a 7 mana card without any synergy will not see play on ladder.

Way too expensive, even with Priest's mana discounts. If these mounts are included in any deck, they need an insane effect, or be cheap.
When Spikeridged Steed was revealed the ppl said the same: "too expensive", and that card is similar.
It's a good target for discover effects and maybe in a hardbuff list.

Exoensive and vulnerable to silence/transform effects. The hunter one is better with immediate effect

Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?

Probably too slow but that's a lot of stats.
I'll experiment for sure but I think that takes too much set up. Power Word: Fortitude probably keeps the high end spell slot for now.
Casual Dragon Cardgame enthusiast.
I kinda like this one. Priest can discount spells and therefor this could come down earlier in the game. Even if Not it is pretty ok for 7 Mana.
The only thing i want to know is what stats the Elekk has that gets summoned? is it also a 4/7 ?

Yes, the Mount has (so far) always the stats of the buff. nd the effect.

TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Noone'S going to actually run it, but it'S going to ruin your day anyways because "created by".
At least it should weaken Control Priests early game discover options (while still keeping the long game strong for obvious reasons)
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
It's an amazing buff but really slow. It rely on mana discounts in order to make very useful.
With the ways to reduce costs for minions, this could be used. Although in a very niche deck
This will be nice when generated/discovered in the late game. Otherwise, it's too expensive.

Great stats for the cost - with the spell focused cards of Forged in the Barrens and it's miniset it fits right in. Taunt makes it playable.

Arena > Wild > Standard
That's a huge buff. It's also pretty expensive, but big spell discounts seem to be Priest's thing nowadays.
