cards that desperately need a buff

There are a ton of cards I like in this game that have slowly become unplayable

Everyone list a few and see if we can't get them buffed

Rimetusk Shaman a 3/3 for five mana that does nothing when you play it imagine playing this into a calibrum or get excited. This stat line made more sense when grasp was the only good answer, but those days are long gone make it a 3/4 it will never be op at least it will demand 2 cards to answer

    Image result for avarosan marksman

Roughly a million times worse than his 2 mana brother, pinging is not this valuable make him a 3/2 for 3

Image result for snow wolf runterra

the bunny needs to be a 0/1 for this card to work

For goodness sakes we have 3/4 boxtupuses being summoned for 2 mana with challenger

    Image result for amateur aeronaut

We have a 2/3 elusive for 2 in Targon, this needs to be a 3/2 elusive for 3

    Image result for yeti yearling

just make it a 2/1 lets pretend yeti decks can be a thing

Image result for shady character runterra

    So bad I can't even find his updated stats. He's a 1/3 for 4, I could see this being 3 mana as a 1/2

He's a rare by the way new players will be like awesome...then awww

    Image result for midstokke henchmen

Just make it a 3/3 that summons a 3/3 on play we have the golden sisters in targon

This is just 2 regions by the way where we see the core set needing a little love.

    Post your ideas down below.

There are so many cards that could use a buff, here are some that I would like to see personally :

    Blood for Blood Card Image

Do this one even need an explanation? We have Iterative Improvement it has the same cost but with better speed the ability to target any follower on the field and a bonus +1/+1.

    Arrel the Tracker Card Image

This has the potential to be a good control/removal option for noxus but those stats are just way too low for it's cost.

    Confront Card Image

3 mana just to grant a unit challenger is a bad deal, it should also give a stat boost.

    Kinkou Lifeblade Card Image

I do think that this could go back to 3 health, I mean we do have Sparklefly which have similar stats while being much cheaper. Or maybe don't and just nerf Sparkfly.

I would sorta like to see this card get a bit of a buff. For the most part I don't think Demacia has that many ways to abuse an elusive unit, and those that it does have are pretty much on par with Targon's choices, or are worse. Maybe it could be a 2/4? Just so they have an option for a solid elusive blocker? I doubt it would be a game breaker since it doesn't have lifesteal or anything scary like that.

    Silverwing Diver Card Image

In that same vein I think you could make this card have the text 'I can block units with elusive' since right now his usage is 0 and it would make a lot of sense for flavour given that he is a lookout...and yet does nothing to look out.

    Vanguard Lookout Card Image

Was this card unhealthy recently? Maybe it was but having seen it in play I don't think it has ever blown my mind or done anything special. The only thing I ask personally is that the cards get shuffled into the deck or put at the bottom or something, rather than being obliterated. It just feels bad, especially when you destroy a champion or something. On top of that it isn't very attractive in the decks it is for, slower control decks that run P&Z.

I would actually kind of find it cool if Blood for Blood was able to target enemy followers. It would allow it to be a versatile ping that could be used for damage synergy or as a way to damage enemies in the same vein as Blade's Edge or Unspeakable Horror with Noxian Flavour.

Here are some cards (that haven't been mentioned already) that I would like to see getting buffed or get some additional support:

    Broadbacked Protector Card Image

I think I've only seen this card getting played once since it was released. Not sure how I would buff it but it certainly could use some help.

    Troop of Elnuks Card Image

To be honest I prefer this version over the previously op version but the current version is just unplayable. I think a neat way to buff it would be to add another elnuk unit to the game to increase the consistency of its effect and to make elnuk decks more of a possibility.

    Iceborn Legacy Card Image

This card is pretty cool but sadly also really bad. I'm not sure what the best way to buff it is but there are a ton of things Riot could try (e.g. make the buff stronger, make it fast speed, reduce the cost, etc.).

    Blessing of Targon Card Image

I'm not sure if anyone will agree with this one but I feel like 5 mana is just too much for granting a unit +3/+3. I don't think it needs a big buff but I think increasing the buff to +3/+4 would be fair.

Iceborn Legacy needs to be reverted back to burst speed, or at least fast

I agree with most of your choices but I'm a little less sure about Broadbacked Protector I've actually seen it a fair few times in the decks built around Soraka and Tahm Kench. Those decks aren't really in that bad a spot at the moment and this card is surprisingly quite a powerful resource for reliable healing and reliable healing targets. Maybe I'm wrong on judging it based on that but I think the card is fine, the deck it fits into is just very forced and one dimensional so you never see it outside of that very specific play style.

I think someone who really could need a buff is Heimerdinger. Like this guy just disappeared after his nerf completely and while shifting keywords again will help the champion a lot, I think that his competition became that much stronger, that even an unnerfed heimerdinger would be fair.

But unnerfing would just create an old elusive archetype once again and I don't think the community welcomes an strong elusive deck so I would instead change his keyword distribution in a way it makes sense and is interactive:

0 mana turret still 0/1 challenger

1 mana turret 1/2 ->still terrible but hey +1 health to not instantly dies to aoe removal

2 mana turret 2/1 fearsome -> because we know fearsome is best on small critters

3 mana turret  3/1 tough -> 3 mana is the go to turret spawned by heimerdinger so why wouldn't it be the turrets that he builds in League right? Makes heimer also less vulnerable to aoe)

4 mana turret 4/1 Quick Attack ->4 attack is as hard to block as 5 attack but easier to generate

5 mana turret 5/1 elsusive -> hard to generate but dangerous

6 mana turret 6/1 overwhelm -> bad but capable of dealing damage

7 mana turret 7/1 barrier + fury -> just less terrible as the current one but still bad

8 mana turret 8/8 -> because it works right?

Also make his level up: "when I level up grant all technology units +1/+1 everywhere" but remove his ability that gives created turrets +1/+1

Yeah you may very well be right since I didn't play during the time that Soraka and Tahm Kench were just released. Also I don't play ranked so I'm not very qualified to say which cards are bad. :p

Honestly other than the 1 and 7 mana turret, this looks like a good and understandable change. That said I wouldn't really call Heimer weak and changing the turrets doesn't make it so Heimer decks win more in unfavorable matchups but rather on favorable matchups. Also I might be wrong about which meta it was but Heimer Vi did make a comeback around TF Swain's dominance and it kinda slapped.

Take my words with a grain of salt. I'm unranked and only play casuals lmao.

1 and 7 are admittedly unituitive but both aim at creating turrets with 1 additional health in their way (because barrier turrets usually get chumblocked) and 1/2 turrets are just slighly better than 1/1 turrets.

And you are right: Heimerdinger keeps his weaknesses but performs overall better which is the idea of a good buff imo:  make an archetype better but keep it's weaknesses so it can exist in a meta without getting overbearing.

    @TheTriferianGeneral

I actually had an idea for reworking Heimerdinger to cost 3 but at level 1 his Turrets are Ephemeral (and his level up condition is reduced to 9). It would allow him to start affecting the board a little earlier while not making him too powerful (and it makes the level-up relevant).

hmm ephemeral turrets make not that much sense imo (from a logical standpoint i mean)...

Also I think 5 is the right mana cost for value engines like Heimerdinger.

He has prooven to be good before the nerfs so the nerfs were what made him unplayable not the changing meta
