As I understand Hunter had three main tools - 1Direct Face Damage, 2Small beast with good upside( as opposed to Druids' big beasts) and 3secrets.
Direct damage works in any class, secrets are not that good and Hunters gets outclassed by mage in that field but Beasts are very unique to the class.
Playing Rexxar the Beastmaster that once said "only beast are above deceit", I expected beasts for Hunters to be what Demons are for Warlocks and it was the case in the past - Crackling Razormaw Houndmaster Kathrena Winterwisp
Unfortunately the class lacks decent beasts- Krolusk Barkstripper Phase Stalker Augmented Porcupine, things that matters on board.
Support for beast cards are also just coming back with things like Fresh Scent Master's Call Scavenger's Ingenuity Scrap Shot.
Do you think the Beasts synergies will at any point reach a viable (enough to not die by 7) spot? That's pretty much the only thing that would get me back to the game other than the class miraculously getting Spell Hunter support.
Disclaimer: I left HS a while ago. I loved playing hunter with a bit of Shudder/meme rogue decks for fun but token decks got stronger and stronger until they released an entire class with strong token cards. I couldn't afford Highlander hunter yet and would have no fun grinding for it; had no intention of joining Aggro Club so I just moved to other games(Mythguard, Wild Rift). I do watch HS streams sometimes though.
In view of all the drama about wild I'd like to know what you guys consider as broken decks in wild for each class.
I'll take obvious, current ones like Warlocks' Cubelock and Mechathunlock or Priests Raza and Res. As well as past forgotten stuff like goblin bomb hunter and odd rogue.
Just please try to add a description if the deck is from the past or the name is not enough. If you nickname Dinomancer Warlock "Dinolock" it's fine but specify the wincon for us uninitiateds.
Standard isn't really my thing but you're right. It's just really hard to guarantee the shudder loop and stay alive without the wild tools.
It's a meme deck. You gotta use the Fist of Ra-denBADCARDNAME to generate Reliquary of Souls. Then Shudder gains it's deathrattle thanks to UndatakahBADCARDNAME.
I gotta remove Joybuzz from the deck cause it messes with Reliquary Prime.
So here's a fun deck I thought of but since I don't have all the cards, I'd love people to test it.
The idea is to alternate between Primes and Shudders and trade off as many useless 1-drops as possible.
Edit. Yogg is really optional and just something I'd do for fun. Should probably be replaced.
To be honest I was disappointed by hunter cards this expansion. Corrosive Breath looked awesome and seemed to hint towards some poisonous theme or something related to Emeriss..
Rotnest Drake is great and Diving Gryphon is useful but I really wanted an alternative Emeriss like what they did with Ysera and Alexstraza or I would've loved a legendary dragon with a fun effect but instead we got Veranus.. Equality on a stick! Yay!
Abominable Bowman works great in albatross hunter.. Nine Lives + Necromechanic for 2 birds is lovely.
Edit- I just noticed it said standard.. I mostly play wild and I have only one mechathun deck for standard.
I like wild for the variety I guess.. I hate seeing the same stuff again and again.

Im a bit reluctant to cut Nefarian cause at 7 mana it's great but I can always replace if I get better.
I believe the title says it all.. I feel like the deck might lack taunts but so far the pressure's been enough to keep the advantage..

Totally agree. While the priest quest counts anduin healing the ennemy properly, the hunter quest and side quest mechanics seems sloppy as hell and full of inconsistencies
Had one of those fun meme-off with a Quest-Talritha paladin. I love originality! Paladin had a great start with reborn murloc on one and curving reborn minions till early quest completion followed by a Talritha copying.
Match however ended in a fun way:
- 8:13 Few seconds in the shudderloop, 23hp, lethal onboard, reborn taunt up
- 8:14 two more double shudderwocks to go, 16hp, there goes the board

It wasn't really meant to be an OTK but I guess with enough rolls...

Thanks for the list! Gonna be quite useful. The Galakronds are like C'Thun though - uncraftable and gifted with the first pack of it's expansion.
I love the Transmogrifier + Plot Twist combo.. been playing that a bunch after seeing Chump do it but I do agree that it burn away your rescources.. Seeing your Valdris Felgorge turned into Millhouse will not feel good.
It doesn't even work with the Broodmother which is such a missed opportunity.

I dunno if that's good or bad but it lines up with blizzard's consistent inconsistencies.
"Cards effect happens in order of which one is played first" so summoning minions is stopped midway for quest completion animation to happen.. and yet Swarm of Locusts is a nightmare for any quest played before it.
This year's coming to an end and I'm pretty surprised I went through the Aggro dominance (be it Mech hunters, hand buff paladins, evolve shamans, Galakrond shaman, murloc shamans, even shamans and more) and haven't uninstalled Hearthstones yet.
This is mostly thanks to you guys who helped me keep my love of deckbuilding alive, providing card suggestions that made my meme decks at least 40% viable instead complete flops and even got one or two of them featured in the Wild Weekend Deck series of articles (which I absolutely love- the ideas are delightful).
The nice community and pretty much flawless site made Hearthstones so much more enjoyable and God knows I've needed an easy after-work stress relief this year.

Can confirm being haunted by purple. I had a bunch of other bug that seems to have been fixed by a reinstall. I should mention that I'm on an android tablet.

Been climbing pretty steadily with Gahz'rilla hunter. Started at 15 and now I'm at 11. It's the highest I'v been and also the second time I bothered to climb (started last month from 25 to 14) .
Idk why it's working but it is so I ain't gonna complain.
Pcs currently out of order but me, my little brother and one other friend are playing a mobile game called Identity V.
It's basically Dead by Daylight for mobile with slight differences.. It's fun in group.
