I guess releasing a game when it's ready is really oldfashioned now. Just release the known issues in front so you can point at them when people complain.
I did an old school Druid milldeck with Oracle and Naturalize. The trick was to convince the opponent that something else than Naturalize was dangerous. So i got that squirrel that hides nuts in your deck, hoping the opponent would think that was the point of Oracle.
Well it worked fine the first opponent, he banned the squirrel and then was milled to hell. Didn't really try any after.
Too little too late, perhaps? Those with genuine interest probably found other YouTube videos to watch up to this point, like Trump's, while those who didn't care about Mercenaries won't suddenly care now.
For me , not really, I still have no clue what Mercenaries is about and I'm going to find out now with this video.
edit: ok that clarified a lot, seems cool. Still don't know if I have to buy those pretty expensive packs from the shop though.
Yeah it's a pity, just yesterday I tried Quest Priest, and although I would have probably won anyway, Illucia sealed the win right away. I wonder how poor Quest Priest will turn out with this nerfed, because nothing seems to be buffed.
Ofcourse this had to happen, mostly because of Shadow Priest.
Personally I have most trouble with the mage questline. I play it myself as well, but recently when I played with DH, my opponent had only 2 cards in his hands (quest was finished), but managed to draw like 8 and deal 22 damage to face. If there wasn't so much card draw, I think it would be fine, but the combination of card draw and low mana spells is too much.
For a game to count, you have to either get to 15 or less life, or make it to turn 10. After one of those conditions are met you can concede and it still counts. It's not unreasonable for the game to have some kind of standards for what makes game count. Otherwise people would just start a game and instantly concede three times in a row and that isn't very interesting either. And having to wait an extra few extra seconds so your opponent punch instead of just conceding you isn't the end of the world.
Ok didn't know about the 15 life barrier. That helps a bit :)
Level 41 without the Tavern Pass. I had the Pass last season, but I had no trouble getting enough packs anyway, so I decided to not get the Tavern Pass this season. I'm trying not to spend any money and see how far I'm getting. I play since Beta and I have dissed a zilllion wild cards, so I'm sitting on a comfortable 28k dust anyway.
I'm so annoyed with the way constructed quests work. Let's say I'm playing and losing badly in turn 6. The opponent has a full board and almost lethal. Let's say it's a shaman so he has like 5 things in hand to get lethal.
The normal thing to do would be to concede, but I can't because I have a 'play x games with mage' quest. The opponent of course wonders why I didn't concede, but pressed End Turn instead and thinks well, let's continue this game for a pretty long time before I kill you. Makes sense right, that is what I used to do before I realized these stupid quests make this behaviour happen.
Not used to looking at South Africa for my timezone, being from The Netherlands ;)
I thought, when i clicked on a 200 button for upgrading my tavern, that it was spending my normal HS gold. Glad this isn't the case.
Yeah but not the memory leak, that is just bizarre.

alright, thanks for the advice, going to try it as f2p freeloader :)

Exactly my thought. Still, I refuse to pay money for BG skins. Gold would be an option for me
I think datamining is done on files that are already in the client but not used yet.
It looks like Valeera just hit Guff (?) on the chin with her fist on that banner picture.
One out of three opponents had Nozdormu, just like last time. I wonder why people ignore this quest.
I went Pogo and played against a guy with Claw so I was done quickly.

Well that's a bunch of new names for sure.

Jaraxxus: FACE!
People used to think Blizzard was good and Activision evil, but this crap apparently was mostly happening at Blizzard.
