I have already mentioned before about reducing the text size too much on the second version (in which, "Weapon" also should not be capitalized), which is why prompts like this are usually avoided in the first place.

That said, I do also have a problem with the first version which is that Discovering a card based on being Rare doesn't really narrow the pool in a meaningful way. While you may know what cards you'll be able to get and which ones you can't, there isn't really anything you can try to grab from the pool. I also don't like putting "from the past" on a Common or Rare card. Perhaps we might see it on an Epic one day, but as a Common or Rare, it very much takes away from the spectacle of Toki, Time Tinker.

And one last note, but that is definitely not a Kobold. It looks more like a humanoid raptor person.

    • On the text size: yeah probably. I don't have much time to tinker with it and the font size is not that bad so i just left it as is.
    • First version wasn't meant for you to get any specific card, just get a generally low or medium value card with a bit of flair.
    • Toki is such a bad card that i highly doubt anyone cares about her losing her spectacle. Also we had a lot of cases of legendaries being overtaken by commons and rares (Princess Huhuran Play Dead Terrorscale Stalker)
    • This may be just personal taste but that is a kobold. Kobolds are reptilian. Just type kobold in google images and see what pops up. Hearthstone and Wow have weird ugly ass gremlins and they call them kobolds but in every other fantasy universe they are reptilian. And that is one of the closes images i found to a wow kobold (miner, candle helmet and all) without it looking like a hairless deformed rat whose snout got stung by a bee and swollen.

Since some people didn't like the art (   :[   ) and simplicity of my card, here's a new idea:

Well, 2 variations on the same idea. What do you guys think? This better than Take Flight?

@Arkasaur 3 damage doesn't make much sense with poisonous, when 1 is enough. And having a poisonous card that's meant to go face is also unprecedented and a bit counterintuitive with the mechanics. Look at Vilebrood Skitterer for balance comparisons also, so it's not too big of a powercreep.

@Fedrion Nice and balanced, though this makes me feel bad for Wild Growth once more. maybe pump the heal to 5, so we can have some Lucentbark synergy maybe?

My fear with such simple comps is always that my card is boring but here we go.

It's Project for sure. They are releasing like 6 skins with it, it's one of their most popular skin lines. The Pentakill event would correlate with new skins for that line, and a new champion added to the band (like Kayle was added as a singer in the second album).

Great article! Hope this becomes a monthly thing, after all the meta is one of the most important things in hearthstone.

First idea. It discourages the opponent from attacking you, else you get an army of taunts.

Of note: the achievement is in the Gameplay section. This means we must do something during a match. I suspect it will be easter eggs like Kel'thuzad's kitty, if you play him and 6 other cat minions.

Will you also post the best decks in each format, regardless of whether they have new cards or not, at some point in the future?

This might be too much but i can't resist not choosing the Birb for this:

I would translate the Emperor's deck into Hearthstone cards too but there is a token limit to the site interface.

Oh wow, i got featured, that's cool! Didn't expect anyone to be interested in my deck, thanks a lot!

The main purpose of N'Zoth is to be a bigger, better Spreading Plague late game. Without him a few cards aren't worth running, like the kodo.

I think perhaps putting in a Reno or Zephrys could work as you draw so much, their battlecries will become active about the same time you want to play N'Zoth

It could work with some bigger taunts but the problem is he will bring a ton of 1/5 scarabs from Spreading Plague so you'd need to cut that card, which i don't like as it's the best stall tool you have vs swarm decks.

Right now the meta is too fast for him anyway, takes too much setup and you'd rather want to destroy an enemy threat with Naturalize+Solar Eclipse. Remember this is a primarily a mill deck, not Taunt/Deathrattle.

I do play it! Only druid deck i play actually, here's an updated version: https://outof.cards/hearthstone/decks/25424-mill-druid-updated

Southsea Scoundrel is too slow, we have cheaper options. Also generating cards is bad for us, often times you need to throw away stuff so Forest Guide doesn't mill you as well.

I hope this isn't taken the wrong way but it is very disappointing Varden Dawngrasp's bio is just their gender identity. Everyone else gets some little snippet of lore or reason for being in the Barrens, but except Varden.

I get that them being non-binary is a highlight, but i really hope it won't be their only personality trait or reason for existance. That would undermine what Blizz is trying to do by making Varden a token diversity character.

Old thread but here's my thoughts: go with LoR for now, perhaps try Mythgard as well and see which you prefer. LoR is for sure more "polished" and has more dedicated support, since Riot is a big company.

However, do try Hearthstone as soon as the new expansion comes out. They are giving a full core set for free from now on each year so it's a really good moment for new players to come and try the game out.

I sm disappointed with how they implemented her. In the lore an in LoL she is the big trickster character, always plotting, rulling from the shadows, manipulating everyone.

In Legends of Runeterra, she go face. She is the most aggresively statted champ so far. I get she is an assassin, but she is also a mage.

Flavor aside, she seems super weak too. 15 damage is not so easy but if you get her early on the board then maybe. But after that, she does nothing! You need to basically level her up AGAIN to get Mirror Image. And she need to be on the board as well. She has 3 hp, no defensive keywords. At least Sivir has spellshield.

The region pairing doesn't seem great either. They want Shurima and Noxus but so far both have pretty bad protection tools. They can reduce enemy attack and have some board clears sure, but no Deny or health buffs.

LeBlanc doesn't even fit great into her own archetype. I don't see why you would want to copy an ally at slow speed, especially after the difficult method to get that spell in the first place. She will get played for stats alone, the level up as a nice, occasional upside.

Honestly Darius seems like a better fit into the Reputation deck along with all the Trifarian 5+ attack synergy. Only issue is that he is a finisher just like Sivir.

Lightwarden anyone? this has 3 hp but only grows 1 attack at a time and only from friendly heals. Doubt it will see play but maybe it gets support.

This to me seems to be a combination of classic rpgs with Slay the Spire's map system. You make a team of 4 my guess and each merc has it's own skills. It will be turn based combat similar to Final Fantasy or maybe Darkest Dungeon if they want to add a positioning gimmick. Really curious about how it will play out, this is the least "Hearthstone-like" game mode so far.

My guess is that each merc will be a minion, and enemies will be the enemy minions. They will probably alter some core gameplay features like in Battlegrounds. Perhaps we will finally get a "tap" like in MtG, to activate a minion and do a thing. Or maybe the skills will simply be "when this attacks" or "round starts" or spells in hand themed around the mercs. Basically imagine the demon hunter adventure, but instead of a deck, it's all about those 4 special characters and they do a bunch more shit than just act like regular minions.

One of the main aspects of Slay the Spire is the map which Mercenaries seem to have copied. The map consists of multiple interconnected paths with different encounters, and you may move from one to the other as you wish (though never progressing backwards). So there is an element of decision making about the fights. You could choose a path with more Elite encounters for better loot and harder fights, or a path with many Events (non combat encounters) to preserve your health. Events are like mini roleplay moments. "You find a shrine dedicated to C'Thun. It has many gold offerings at its base." and you get the options to pillage it for the gold and maybe get cursed, or pray to it, not getting the curse but obtaining a buff. Stuff like that.
