So Boar did pretty damn well overall?

I watched him at 9 wins with DH (don’t know how it ended), red about a 21 win streak with totem shaman and now I see another 12 win list? The dude is undeniably skilled!

I was really tempted to try it since I had a lot of success with some off meta decks buuuut ..... the rewards are only satifying starting from 8 wins. Everything below is a loss imo. The chance of that happening is considerably lower than in arena, were the general skill level is much lower. Only really confident and strong players (along some gambling junkies) will play this mode.

Also keep in mind that you are trading 10 packs from the next expansion for Scholomance packs. That’s a bad deal since decks on day one of an expansion are way more valuable

Interesting. Is this a reoccurring thing? This is especially difficult to evaluate since we only see the top 10. So maybe it affects only the very best players or there is an overall difference in the playerbase.

There could be proportionally less noobs in Asian arenas but it seems crazy to me that the difference is this big!

    also congrats man, amazing achievement!

Every druid deck should be good enough for a quick win.

Another thought: Offense is the best defense! Let them build up their massive board for 15-20 health und just blast them down with a ton of mage spells!

I don’t understand why they sell the wild bundle before announcing the new mode that is supposed to involve our old collection.
I’m tempted to buy the bundle even though I play next to no wild, just for the satisfaction of collecting cards... but that’s something I simply don’t want to spent 35€ on.

If on the other hand, I knew there was a game mode at the horizon that requires a large wild collection for full satisfaction ...

So that means the packs won‘t stack in pack opener?

I bet there are a couple people out there, collecting special packs for whom this might be relevant l

If after all those text walls, someone is still reading, congrats, you reached another faceless guy that thinks his opinion matters. But since I haven’t read anything similar, here is my take and my past experience:

Nightmare is obviously very involved in the game, as many of us are. It gets to the point that HS takes a lot of space in once life, sometimes more than it should (talking about my past self now). It’s not only gametime, it’s deck analysis, forums, streams, videos, ...

It can have all the characters of a toxic relationship. There are aspects that you love, awesome memories and simply routine but something is allways wrong. You quickly spend to much time with the game, doing things you don’t enjoy, simply because it’s what you’re doing for years.

I have forced myself to quit in the past but eventually came back as well. But I gradually distanced myself from the game (a full time job certainly helped). Emotionally that is. I don’t rush in to see the next Brawl at release time anymore. I dont care that much about my arena Scores anymore. I stopped watching videos on a regular basis. And most of all: I spend at least once or twice a week days without opening the game at all.

What I’m trying to say with this: Take it easy man. Don’t make forced emotional decisions. If you don’t enjoy putting the time and effort in as you are used to, simply don’t. But nothing stops you to hop in once in a while to see what’s up. In my experience, playing less makes the time that you play more entertaining.

Oh and finally: I know this is hella controversial, even more in your current situation... but spending some money on the game takes away the urge to grind. And that has been very beneficial for my game experience!

Whatever you may chose to do, you are always welcome here! The innkeeper will save you a chair :) Farewell

    Quote From dapperdog

The non-dupe rule only applies to non golden cards. So if you happen to only have one golden + 1 normal, you are guaranteed to open that 1 normal card in your packs. Another way of saying it; if you only have golden copies of a rare card, you are guaranteed to open normal copies of them in your packs.

Noticed that in the last expansion, not sure if its explicitly stated. I dont dust goldens unless I really need the dust (my dust bank is so full I dont need to anyway), so its more noticeable to me I guess.

That's not entirely true... Golden cards do count for the non-dupe rule until you collect all cards of that rarity. Only then, the non golden gaps fill up.
I wasn't sure this was a set rule since i've never read something about it but i kept noticing this to happen.

The fact that other players noticed the same thing is proving this rule for me.
Actually a pretty nice feature for all the people who disenchant all their golden cards.

But now that we're on the topic: How does the non-dupe rule handles crafted cards? Will it prioritize those card once you have a full collection?
Or do crafted cards simply count as "opened"?

Can’t find it. Not in the client, nor in the blizzard shop.

This card needs a lot of support.

The best case scenario, as you said, are 2 5/5 beasts with rush. Witch is not bad but definitely not insane. And this is not even considering the price for running Stranglethorn tigers, Mukkla or the inconsistency in drawing the beasts first.

Compare this to oasis surger in quest Druid or Zixor Prime. Both are wayyyyy stronger and are less conditional imo.

What this card needs is a beast with a great deathrattle or an effect when it attacks.

The (5) or less really kills this card..

MMR decay is, if it exists, pretty slim. I think it’s worse for your MMR to meme the whole month.
But actually I don’t know anything and was surprised multiple times by the new ladder system.

Last month, I got 11 stars and didn’t take the climb serious at all (winrate pretty close to 50% maybe even below with shaman, paladin, deathrattle rogue or elemental mage). I still ranked at Rank +-1000 a couple days ago when I reached legend.

Long story short, it’s kinda hard to fool them on your MMR these days.

Oh and talking about curiosities.... I had incredibly long queue times on diamond ranks (sometimes over 2 minutes). All went back to normal once I reached legend

Is there any information on how the dual class cards will be shown in the collection manager?

Do they appear for both classes?

Unfortunately, you can’t expect the power level of new cards to match the highly synergistic/ mana cheating T1 decks in wild.

As for standard, they are certainly pushing the boundaries with some cards! Lots of premium stats with good effects (3 mana 3/4 with upside is always good).

Imo they have budget players in mind with this expansion. Dual class legendaries and interesting neutrals are versatile dust investment. On the same time, most legendaries aren’t trough the roof and won’t be needed in every other highlander deck.

Honestly, I was no hyped to begin with but imo they nailed the flavor of the expansion. Lots of interesting stuff

Druids will have their fun with this one. Play it with Nourish or Overflow and you can swing just about any game. Starfall is great too! Maybe a quest Druid support?

I don’t see that much potential in Shaman. A Hex might be fine but that’s some countersynergy since you create a taunt. Bloodlust? Meh.
Earthquake won’t work I guess. In any case, you would lose a lot of health

(I didn’t check the new spells, maybe I missed something obvious)

Surely. Otherwise the wording is very confusing and misleading

This is just the right cost to prevent exodia mage from going off. Phew!
    Or have I missed something?

There gotta be a combo someday with this though!

Nicely done! I like how the dual class cards support both class identities at the same time.
The warlock package seems like a strong anti aggro shel while the demon hunter probably just goes smorc and clears small boards simultaneously.

You should consider that the +1/1 is very valuable since it has charge/rush in most cases and allows unexpected value trades etc.

Also, the first half of this card is a 2/2 for 1 mana. The immediate tempo gain is higher than a Firefly.

Finally the cubs are beasts, which probably will be beneficial in future hunter/Druid decks.

My conclusion: Firefly is better on turn 1 but adorable infestation wins the comparison at any other point. This card will definitly se a lot of play.

Edit: the fact that this is a spell may berelevant too! Great spell burst enabler.
