Not trying to defend this card or anything but a lot of people seem to think that you need to build a highlander deck to make this work. This is not true, you just need no duplicates in your deck.
Odd paladin has been tier 1 pretty much since its inception. It's a very strong deck with a very low skill requirement, just keep playing it and you'll reach legend eventually. For me it took about 2 days last season, starting from rank 5, playing about 4 hours each day I think.
I always assumed that Overkill only triggered whenever the Overkill minion made an attack, which feels much more intuitive, imo. The "during your own turn"-thing doesn't feel right. I think that they should change it to either work as my first assumption, stated earlier, or keep the current functionality of triggering even when defending but still remove the "during your turn" requirement.
I'm not even arguing for balance's sake btw, just for a more intuitive and consistent game mechanic.
The old Un'Goro Quests rewarded you with a playable card that activated the quest reward. These instead upgrade your Hero Power, in some cases so far (the Druid quest), it's a passive Hero Power that you don't need to spend mana on. Since these quest rewards are not playable cards, are they automatically activated once the quest requirements are met?
If this was played in wild cyclone mage, I think you'd run both quests and discard Open the Waygate in the mulligan. By the time you find it again you'll already finished the new quest and have a hand full of discounted random spells. Could work, maybe.
Don't kill any minions except Barnes, until you have completed the quest and feel confident that you could achieve lethal. Keep stalling until that happens.
I haven't played it in a while but checking my stats, I had a 66% win rate against priests, most of which were big priests, I assume

Wild is the "fun" format.

Transformation effects never count as summons
A big "fuck you" to Big Priest. Loving it.
Agreed
I see that you actually don't play wild. Odd pally blows both of those decks out of the water.
Eh? Trash.
I don't get it, isn't it Inner Fire that's the problem? And attack-health swappers, I guess
Yup

So they don't want to kill people's favourite decks but Kingsbane Rogue was my and many others' favourite deck. What's with the hypocrisy?
He's just a hipster, it's not real

I actually never realized that the bearded dude riding the dinosaur was Brann until people pointed it out. Never really imagined him to be so ripped.
No thanks.
The wording on the first card, "Mana Spawning", looks dubious at best. The '1/3' should come before "Mana Wyrm", not after.
I wasn't able to select credit card as a payment option, only Blizzard balance
