I think its the other way around lol. Both cards are extremely strong for opposite reasons. This one is really strong tempo, other one is really strong value.
I doubt it will see much play. While the requirement is very simple, its also extremely easy for opponents to stop it. And if they can stop it, you lose a ton of tempo in the early game, and in the late game the payoff isn't even that worth it.
If theres ever a time for a card like this, its right after the third expansion of the year. Having the largest pool available of paladin only cards to be able to make a full deck with actually good cards in it.
Im not so sure val'anyr was better. It costs twice as much mana for the same amount of stats, and it required you to swing twice to continue the loop. This card is limited to dragons, but its much easier to get the effect to chain.
Hard to say no to a 4 mana 8/8, even with a possible downside, its super strong, and later in the game it just slots nicely into the rest of your turn.
The cute card of the set for sure, but Idk if its very strong. There's already a spell damage +2 in mage with a much better stat line for the same costs, so this cards viability is heavily weighed on the dragon tag + discover.
I see alot of comparisons to flame waker but this just seems worse in most ways. Only can run 1 copy, and you NEED to cast 3 spells, 1 or 2 gives you no benefit.
I feel like paladin has had a ton of great dragon synergy cards already, they just lacked actual dragons. This expansion might push it over the edge.
This might push paladin over the edge to have enough dragons for a full dragon deck to work.
Just a better healbot. Very solid but not very exciting.
Might not be super strong in standard, but in Wild this makes odd paladin even scarier.
This card alone makes the sidequest playable. In odd paladin it will be a nightmare.

Super strong effect, but elementals aren'e being played at all really. Probably really strong in Wild though.
Would have to also add in a few dragons as well, which would be a little difficult in the already established cyclone lists.
Slightly stronger Solia. Ironically will probably only be played in Reno decks, despite it not having that requirement.
Seems decent. Im not sure it will make the cut in a lot of lists, but reno decks could easily find a spot for it.
Could be a fun addition to cyclone mage, and a decent addition to old quest mage in Wild.

It just feels really cartoony, which itself isn;t bad but it does kind of take away from the epic feel of dragons.
