Wow. Damn. Nightmare Amalgam being gone from Battlegrounds is huge; also, Shaman's nerfs are big. Will they be as destructive as they seem? We will see.

Unfortunate to hear. I was never a big fan of the game, tried it for a couple of days, didn't see any appeal in it. But there are surely people that enjoyed it, and played it on the regular. Clearly not that many, but surely more than Artifact. It's sad when an ongoing service - especially a card game - receives this treatment. Let's be grateful the servers are still running for the foreseeable future, allowing players to still have fun with the game for a while and go back to it whenever they feel like it.

    Still, sad news

Ok so after reading the update yes, by the end of the day, it was a country limited currency. China-only; fine by me. I can sit a bit less worried at this point.

Thanks again for the coverage, Flux and team

I guess the true question is; are these currencies going to entirely replace gold? Are packs the only way to spend Arcane Orbs, and, if they are, does this mean F2P will be now permanently relegated to Ranked, Casual, Battlegrounds and Brawl, excluding both Arena and new Adventures? To put it more bluntly; are Arcane Orbs a way of helping HS's economy or a way to tilt it even more towards the typical freemium mobile market?

Would love to have more clarity on this stuff, but I guess we will have to wait a while for it. Either way, great job on the coverage

Edit: And yes, there's also the possibility that this is Activision's way of gearing up for loot-boxes ban and specific countries' laws

So I guess now PVE is necessary to stay relevant in PVP. Welp, no more "you can choose whether play PvE or PvP". Now you literally have to pay twice whatever we used to pay the first two years of HS. Good luck

Here's a suggestion: Everyone gets Tyrande for free.

And everyone who already got Tyrande gets Silvanas as sort of compensation.

    :D

We can only dream, friend. We can only dream. Or they're just going to switch it up and make Sylvanas the pack special and put Lady Tree as a free hero, since nobody seems to like her lo

And that's how a card goes from 5 stars to 2 stars. Unless you're facing a spell heavy opponent, this card is on average a worse Tess. Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't picture one situation in which this card would be worth it, except maybe if your opponent has played Dragonqueen Alexstrasza and the two 0-cost dragons in the same turn, or a Shirvallah in a turn that doesn't involve the OTK. I guess it's decent if your opponent plays a big taunt

play after your opponent plays  Shudderwock

You would be summoning a 6/6 and that's it. He plays the cards your opponent "played", not that he summoned. So if your opponent played Shudderwock or Tess, the only thing this card will do is summon a 6/6 and that's it

EDIT: Unless Murozond can trigger minions' Battlecries, which would be a first. In that case yes, Shudderwock and Tess would be incredible

Early game removal for handlock, and that's it. Nothing really more to talk about here, as later in game the maximum damage is way too low and way too rng based to be relevant. It's no Defile, that's for sure.

Look at that damn creep of a lady tree. It's so terrifying, but... it hits that uncanny valley feeling, and I want it. I need it. But nah, not wasting 25 dollaroos on this. What a shame

The spell looks great, the legendary, unfortunately, does not. As a card is not bad per se, but about 80% of treant related cards are early game and mid-game at best, and this card coming on turn 7 - when on curve - is a massive negative. Sure, you can curve into The Forest's Aid, but... is that worth it? We'll see.

I'll take two, thank you very much! The trade off is fair, and Druid can easily cope with the mana increase - especially if they play dragon with the new ramp spell they just got. Not much to say except; finally.

I guess they realized Surrender to Madness wasn't even fun, let alone competitive

And there you go. The very existence of this card will be a deterrent to those decks whose game plan is stacking up armor until your opponent gives up or is forced to. This doesn't kill warriors, mind you; it just puts a stop to deep sleep tactics, while being a solid 5/5 for 5. Remember: you have max 2 copies of this in your deck. Warriors - with the right tools - can stack up armor forever. So you have to time the play right, and be ready to finish the match soon, otherwise you will go back to square one. Alexstrasza is now an even better finisher

Extremely excited for tomorrow and for what's next in store for the game. Frequent balance changes - much like what Gwent is doing - is the way to go with digital card games, as it guarantees longevity to different tactics and strategies

Great! All of this is really needed, and it's actually neat to hear such good response to feedback so fast. Let's hope we get to see something more soon TM

Wait, Zapp now costs 8? How... What?

Still, glad about Jaraxxus, and we'll see whether Mukla's change will have some weight or not. It is, however, plenty interesting
