There is an interesting dynamic in the final battle if you pick up a the passive treasure along the way that automatically destroys summoned enemies. It looks like shuffles are treated as summons, and so many of your enemies go away after the first turn. To help get this treasure, I went with a beast-heavy party: King Mukla, Niuzao, Gruul, Samuro, Rexxar, and Cookie. Picked up a protector boon along the way (+50 health) and finished in 21 turns even though the first couple encounters took 4 turns each. Probably could optimize the party much more.
