Hm, I didn't actually know the interaction worked that way, so that was just a misinterpretation on my part. I always remember trying to compare her to The Curator, but I suppose the difference in playability comes from Curator having Taunt while Countess is just purely a tempo loss.
I'm still sad I could never build a deck good enough to include Countess Ashmore. Seems like she would have been good in control decks with Zilliax but sometimes it counted Zilliax as the rush minion instead of the lifesteal and you only got one or two draws instead of two or three
If a Quest Pirate Warrior can somehow be made to work then this curves perfectly with [Hearthstone Card (Ancharr) Not Found], though I'm not confident that deck will be very good.
It's been confirmed that the "good" classes are getting an extra three cards in the first wing. Considering the Reno hero is a mage card while the other two legendaries have been neutral, I imagine these three "bonus cards" for the good classes are going to be the hero cards, and the four legendaries they mentioned are all going to be neutral.
I think one way of making Gala Priest more viable would be making the hero power discover rather than just adding to your hand. Probably still wouldn't be that good, but at least then you wouldn't be getting a hand full of Lightwells and Northshires
Was there a Cthun deck that lasted past the first couple weeks of Old Gods? I seem to remember they all got pushed out of the meta pretty quickly. Galakrond is the first time since then that this concept has been pushed, only this time they seem to have succeeded.
Congrats to all winners! Though my luck may not have shone here, at least I had good luck on the few packs I did have (first two packs pulled Bandersmosh and Golden [Hearthstone Card (Murozond, the Infinite) Not Found]
I mean, Karazhan is definitely the easiest adventure, and 1400 gold for 1600 dust (more than you'd get from 14 packs, on average) seems like a good deal to me.
are you sure you're remembering them talking about this Rogue Quest? I remember designers saying The Caverns Below was their favourite, but I don't recall any recent mention.
I don't think you understand how the standard rotation works. Rotation only happens at the start of the year, so Witchwood is still gonna be around when Saviours drops
Keep in mind that restored health doesn't have to be to your hero. It could be to minions, or even the enemy hero (Hench-Clan Shadequill?). I'm imagining a deck that runs high health Reborn minions plus AoE heals like Divine Hymn, Neferset Ritualist, and Circle of Healing to complete the quest, since the hero power also has really good Reborn synergy.
Crystallizer will probably be an auto-include in this deck so you can have more of a chance in control matchups. Ornery Tortoise might even see play as well, but that might make the aggro matchup a bit too hard

No Shotbot? Does it just end up being worse than Temple Berserker?

Oh yeah, I guess so. It's crazy to think that Old Gods was almost four years ago now. I have next to no memory of what that meta was like

I'm pretty sure you can copy and paste one of your existing deck codes when making a brawl deck

With the amount of elementals in this deck, why not run the other mage sidequest as well?
You're paying for the adventure content, not just the rewards. If you just want packs then just buy packs.

Really good in combination with Thunderhead to get two 3/1s with rush after each overload.
Could someone please just explain what this card does for those that didn't watch the stream?

ohh I see what you mean, yeah
