Generally the statement from Sottle and from the other casters Raven and Darroch seem on the whole fair and reasonable when looked at individually. The thing that bothers me is their similarity to each other:

Sottle: "I would like to affirm that I fully intend to fulfill my contracts with Hearthstone Esports and am open to work with them in the future."

Raven: "I will continue to fulfill my ongoing contracts with the Hearthstone team [...] and will look to continue to work with them in future."

Darroch: "I plan on fulfilling my current obligations and continuing to cast Hearthstone in the future."

If you look at each statement, they effectively the same message beat for beat.

Another example - soft disagreement with Blizzard's actions but commitment to stay on.

Sottle: "I do not have to agree with the actions or policies of any employer, partner, or service to continue to be affiliated with them."

Raven: "Although I do not agree with the decisions that have been made by Blizzard [...] will look to continue to work with them in future."

Darroch: "hope that anyone reading can understand that I can disagree with their choices and still be affiliated with them."

I get that each of them would take care with preparing a public message. Who wouldn't. However, when they end up sounding so similar that they're effectively identical beat for beat, it makes it seem less sincere and more like a prepared politically correct statement that Blizzard PR guided them to make.

The contrast is even more stark when you compare the similarity of these statements to how different the statements are of other people that are more assertive with their condemnation of Blizzards actions i.e. Kibler, Admirable, Amnesiac etc. They don't sound anywhere near as cookie cutter.

Americans seem to say that they love their freedom of speech a lot but then someone expresses that freedom of speech by kneeling during the anthem at a football game, some of you Americans seem not to love free speech as much.

Not all, maybe not even a majority but I wouldn't be so openly proud of American's love of free speech when you as a nation seemingly only love it when it's convenient.

Did anyone get any packs at all from watching the Twitch Grandmasters over the last weekend?

The few people I've spoken to haven't gotten anything.

Given that apparently 63,000 packs were meant to be given out during the most recent broadcast run, would have thought the odds were reasonably high enough to get at least a single pack.

This is a meta report from one dude that apparently isn't a legend-rank player (no legend player would say "high rank") that just reads stats off HSReplay. I wouldn't take anything they've posted to heart.

I mean they're free to post their opinion on what they think the meta is. Nothing wrong with that. Just see it for what it is.

Best moment: reveal of the secret board interaction. Felt very Un'Goro-esque.

Post says "First, a note on sample sizes." and then proceeds to provide no information on sample sizes.

There is no information about sample sizes at all. Actually, there's not information on the basis of ANY of the analysis in this post.

Look, I like this website and I want to support you guys, especially after the move here. However, there's a bunch of crucial information that is lacking that can help better inform the reader what to expect from this meta reports.

    For instance:

    • An actual note on sample sizes
    • What data is this based off, if at all?
    • Is this one person's opinion or a teams? What are their qualifications?

If this is just one person's opinion, make it known it's just that. People still read Tempostorm's meta list, even though there a better and more accurate sources based on data out there.

I'm not against another meta list. It'd just be nice to know how relevant it is based on the sample size, data used and expertise of the person/people involved.

I'm so glad that I keep copies of cards until they go into wild. Got so much free dust from just Conjurer's Calling 4 normal copies and 1 golden one!

This is awesome. Helps for those of us that only know the lore through Hearthstone and not through WoW and other derivative sources.

No request for anything in particular other than maybe continue with the elementals theme with other elemental lords like Ragnaros, Neptulon etc.

Thought much the same. Unless the data is on the calibre of VS or maybe HSReplay, it's a lot of time and energy spent with little to no credibility to back it.

Hell, I don't even respect Tempo Storm's meta reports since there are better and more data-driven alternatives.

Don't know how to feel about this. On the one hand it can be looked at like they're testing the waters in China without risking damaging the Western market but at the same time, we have to wait while China gets to play that game mode?

Is it just me or is the flavour text for this set a little flat compared to past sets?

I'm very much of this kind of thinking too.

I mean this specific departure could just be a coincidence but the amount of high profile people that have left in a short period of time probably isn't.

    RIP Reno-no-friends.

Oh well, maybe next time Travis Willingham.

This kind of comment is pretty sad in my eyes.

These "exclusive" card backs weren't something that you had to pay for and they're not collectables that gain value due to their rarity. They're pretty 1's and 0's that you have because you just happened to be at the right place at the right time.

I don't see why we should exclude new fans from enjoying these card backs as well. This kind of attitude is needlessly petty and selfish, especially considered these card backs have no real value attached to them.

Bear in mind, this is coming from someone who won't benefit from getting the old card back.

I hope Blizzard does more of this kind of thing in future.

Is it just me or does the deck code not work for this deck?

Is there a way to get the deck code without having to go to the main deck page? Would be nice to be able to get it from here if possible :)

If that's the case, I look forward to Shroud and Ninja at one of the future Inn-vitationals.
