I kinda think the card is slightly broken as there isn't many things in the game yet that can out right remove someone who is already enchanted with it. There are options like Recall, Deny, Riptide, and or out right Obliterate them, but only two factions do that stuff well. Bilgewater and Ionia.

Bilgewater has two options, Riptide and Devourer of the Depths. But Devourer of the Depths can be countered himself by simply damaging him so he doesn't have enough health to obliterate his target.

Ionia on the other hand is great at it. As Ionia has a butt ton of ways to recall them, stun lock them, or out right "Deny" the ability from being used.

On a lesser note. A heavy frost centered Freljord deck can also shut it down but I don't know of any meta worthy frost decks that exist.

First off the DENY is a completely wrong option since the ability is Burst.

This effect is astonishingly bad, in some matchups you cant do shit about it. So its either you have demacia and silence, or like recall and ionia which is like 2 actual decks that have it.

Riptide is also quite questional tech to remove it since you have to have nautilus on board. The same is with the fish and Devourer.

So yeah if you play recall Yasuo deck or Nautilus Depth deck you can deal with it. Otherwise good luck son. If the guy manages to stuck this on some annoying minion you basically dead with no counterplay.

UPD: Also to anyone saying burst effect for 8 mana is for the late game, I disagree. It cant be a late game effect, if you play it on turn 5, on the minion you stuck on the board previous turn.  You usually play some power heros on turn 5 or later even and BOOM. Deal with it the turn before it. So yeah, nice effect.

Actually the best moment of Uldum for me so far would be seing the Sooni playing Octosari on Hearthstone Masters Seoul as the Combo Nomi priest deck to beat Control Warrior and it was HILARIOUS

Well I am currently lacking a lot, not only Reno and Zeprys, but also Siamat and stuff. So despite your overall praise of Zeprys I would try to save dust for him till the next expansion it seems. I could afford Freeze/Control/Big Spell mage though, so it is pretty okay for now I guess.

I managed to try out Highlander in the Whizbang recipe once, so my overall impression is split,  I am personally not much impressed. Its like if I had at least some details for Highlander deck I would go for it, but right now it does not seem much worth it. Still could build some fun decks with resource I have =3

Hi there guys. So, the meta is slowly forming and I want to gather your guys opinion on the highlander Mage deck (especially appreciate if you played it).

The question I want to know:

    • Is it viable in ladder?
    • Is it fun to play?
    • Is it worth crafting?

Specifically this one, because the highlander mage is butt ton of dust and feels risky. Right now Mage archetypes is third winrate Mage(53.71), after Control mage(55.25) and Big spell(54.69), so my question is mainly about Reno the Relicologist and Zephrys the Great.

Do you feel this cards could carry the archetype? Do they bring unique fun experience? Maybe you got some other opinions? Would really appreciate your opinions =3

This is probably not as bad. After all this is a massive minion in warrior and mech hunter. How the opponent would benefit from the reborn exactly? Unsure but it sounds like a good aggro minion.

    Certainly require some play testing.

Because all warlock card should have a negative effect this days, this card is absolutely useless. There is no archetype that would love this, control warlock do not have board and agro warlock probably does not need this also.

To anyone saying about Rafaam scheme is viable with this I wish best of luck. I have a deck with it and this card is abysmall, literally abysmall. It is overpriced and does almost nothing. So as a good removal I think it is terrible. Worse than Shriek for sure

Anyone who tries to compare this with Equality and Concec. I wanna remind you that this cards got some value on their own. Plague of Flames  is literally unplayable. When you dont have a board and board generation and mage like uses Khadgar and makes 5-6 card board, you would need 6-7 minons generating spells.

Only question I have -why Warlock got this thing and why does it cost 1? Much more would prefer the removal having different downside but for 5 mana.

Even rogue got better plague. Warlock  cards having to have the downside cost for powerful effect now does worse than any class having similar cards with no downside.

Most likely unplayable and understatted. Lackey are somewhat useless for warrior

Corrupt the Waters is my favourite card so far, probably bringing a lot of well desired shenanigans to the Shaman. Would love to building something amazing on it, especially if we got some great battlecries
