After reading this article, I can see why there are so little to zero development to the HS game itself other than new cards.
We always have been requesting features such as in-game deck tracker, statistics, achievements, better Rank rewards, better player progression, even a proper squelch option but none of them were ever developed.
Cos these features brings no money...
It is really sad when you think about it. Hearthstone has so much potential. I can easily see Hearthstone making an adventure like Gwent's Thronebreaker with a full story and game flow instead of just Dungeon Runs. Heck, even the both of them are priced the same.
I love Hearthstone. I truly do. I hope to see it improve. With more CCGs getting made, it would push Hearthstone as more competition games are made. The future is looking really interesting.
Although, as you said in the article regarding randomness is healthy for the game, it is clearly not for certain parts of the game. Hence, why the discard mechanic is such a failure. It is a core identity of Warlock and yet it is seen little to no play. I truly believe that they should have allowed players to choose their discards.
We can't say for certain that doing so would make discard "op" when there is no way to test it out. You are still losing a card for a powerful value or effect. However, it is unlikely Blizzard will do so. I do hope that Blizzard release more specific discard effects as it is such a wasted and untapped potential of Warlock.
The thing about the token actor idea I disagree with is that the 1/1 is still a Y'Shaarj or a Rag or a Obsidian or a Lich King or any powerful minion. Sure Resurrecting it only makes it still be a 1/1.
However, the issue is that it is still a powerful late game effect being played in the early part of the game. Also, this idea is heavily targeted only to tone down Big Priest and ignores that Barnes is a Neutral card. This idea will only kill Barnes from being played in other Classes.
If Barnes was a Priest card, I would fully 100% support this idea but it is not.
Wow! So many dislikes for just expressing my thoughts regarding the nerf. It seems that I cannot have a different opinion and MUST conform to the majority's opinion. Else I'm an enemy.
I love the nerf to Barnes. It's pretty fair. I was just thinking that if they nerf it to 6 Mana, it will kill the card as it is a Neutral card and it's usage is not just in Big Priest.
Even the idea of an Actor token won't work cos it is still turn 4/3 big minion cos it is too early and too fast for the opponent to handle. Hence, the only logical way to nerf it is a 1 Mana increase to 5 Mana.
This would at least prevent the early turn 4/3 auto-concede moment that isn't super frustrating to deal with.
I glad Blizzard did not kill the card like how they killed Naga Seawitch and kept the design of the card.
Sure Resurrect mechanics may still pose a problem. At least now, Big Priest will feel less of a gamble and more like a control greedy deck. Well done!

On another hand, I'm very disappointed with the nerf to Luna's Pocket Galaxy. The card is basically dead. It was never played originally and only became playable after the buff. I really hoped that they would just nerf it to 6 Mana. Now, nobody will play this on turn 7 cos it's to expensive and too risky to use it.
Finally, the nerf to Dr. Boom is a tempo change to the game. I see that alot of people are pointing out Omega Devastator is the one should be needed. However, Mechs now will only have Rush, aka board control, on Turn 10 onwards. That's a huge tempo change. This can only be seen and felt once the nerfs are live and Omega Devastator will become a fair card.
Overall, the nerfs are pretty good and well thought out but I feel Luna Galaxy is dead. Barnes will still see play and Big Priest now should feel less of a gamble, more of a greedy deck.
Edit: Fixed a mistake on the part regarding Omega Devastator. Thank you @Shagwagon for pointing that out! 🤗
One thing I've always felt that was missing from dungeon run was a New Game Plus. Whenever you finish a run, you can no longer use the deck you have built. Once you're done, the deck is gone.
Sometimes, I just want to play that awesome deck but I can't. I wish that I could use that deck to play a run where all 8 bosses are equal to level of difficulty of the final boss in the run. I would love to see a LV8 version of the first boss.
The closest to this was Dalaran Heist Chapter 5 with 4 extra bosses. One can only dream...
This is a meta card right here. I can already see people complaining about this card. With all the new support for Taunts, this card will be super thick and tough to remove. Sure there are Silence effects and removals. However, on average, this card is gonna stick and be a nuisance if you don't have either answers. Love it!
Everyone are overreacting cos of how easy to complete the quest. Do keep in mind that the new quests are meant to be completed way, way easier and less mandatory build around than before. The reward is just a 3/2 weapon with immune. It's just a upped version odd rogue hero power. Sure there's combo with poison effects.
I guarantee all of you that this card will see only decent play in the meta cos there's Spectral Cutlass. You can't run both in a single deck. The hero power is good, not op. This is not the Quest Rogue of old.

I agree RIP Luna. It was never played before the buff, only memes. Now it's dead. I hoped they would nerfed it to 6 instead of 7 honestly.
Thank you for pointing it out! I just fixed my mistake. 🤗

Why do you need Fandral Staghelm when Untapped Potential already combined the Choose One effects?
I can already see the meme compilation happening when this card offer weird cards for the situation. xD
This card here is the Level Up! for Taunt. That burst damage. I would not be surprise if this card become meta.

Same. I really hope they make a new ramp card. Ramp is really bad now in Druid. This is coming from a Druid main.
Has been stated when is the final card reveal? Thank you.

Interesting. It seems there's gonna be Big Spell decks. I wonder which Class can achieve that.
Isn't Siamat one of the bosses from LoE?
Wow! This is still a thing? xD
