I'm disappointed that WOTC doesn't give Wildcards for bans, even if they are specific for a game mode. Some people might have crafted them just for that game mode.
Generally I feel like WOTC is extremely greedy when it comes to their virtual games.
I think the mix of Hearthstones Mana management + Magics turn management might be what many will enjoy. It would fit the niche between hardcore and casual... and there's a lot of space.
Riot already made an astonishingly good boardgame (not to mention the production quality), so I wouldn't be surprised if they can pull of a good digital card game.
IMHO they could have simply prevented all this by initially giving Blizchung just a one game / one tournament suspension and saying they understand his personal connection but that GM isn't the place to discuss such a thing. And that political statements made by anyone in the future will have the contractual defined consequences.
I would have accepted a message like: "Hey man, we know you are impacted by this personally, but GM isn't the place for political messages or discussions. Please don't do this again, or we will have to remove you from GM."
It would be understandable. I also don't want politics in my games, they are escapism for me.
But what they did sends the message that they will shoot down not only the one sending the message but also everyone who listens to him. And that's unacceptable.
You should explain what the "eye" does, since imho it's one of the best things ever in a card game. Counting no longer needed! 😂
Grand Lackey Erkh is nasty
That looks really sweet!
That's a fun deck, lots of pew and puke
Is there a way to actually survive?

The parameter should be if they, in your opinion, made it right and regained your trust.
They didn't do that for me, and as much as I would love to buy bundles or Overwatch 2, it's not going to happen.
Boycotting something you don't want is easy. Boycotting something you want is where the pressure is, though.
The test was not even a beta, it was just a preview (and it looked more polished than many freshly launched titles).
Beta will start Q1 2020.
I haven't played myself yet (no key *cry*).
But from watching lots of videos I have to agree with 2.
But I'm also old.
I have exactly the same feeling. I think that was the only way to get the complexity and interactivity that Magic has onto a smaller screen.
I don't know why you got downvoted, I'm sure it's a good option to customize the news you see.

It is very eloquently written. I really appreciate the explanations and that he sees the different sides too.

Not a fan of Underlords, it takes too long for a nice mobile game imho.
Clash Royale isn't my taste either.
Brawl Stars is really good, I wonder why I stopped playing. And Yu-Gi-Oh! I'll check out :)
I don't think it will need nearly a century.
I agree that the refunded dust can be higher.
BUT I also have to say that the dusting is imho the best way to get cards that you need / want, compared to ANY other digital TCG.
