yeah, no, we're all going to hate this immensly after about 3 days.
just slap a dragon package into Quest Shaman. Draconic Lackey already makes this more consistent. So aside from Sandstorm Elemental and MCT you'll also have to worry about getting flamestriked at 3....hitting coincidentally the exact same number of minions that you would play to not play into MCT.
I'm gonna give this expansion a chance, but I feel like I'm just gonna quit after two weeks.
This is the deck I use for wild. To be fair, I got it from someone at hearthpwn. Recently I cut hucksters in favor of a toggwaggles scheme and a pharaoh cat.
It performs very well, even against secret mage and other top tier decks if piloted wisely.
My point with zephrys is, since rogue doesn't have access to strong board clears even against control decks in wild you need the upgraded weapon up asap for pressure and survivability.
Thus anyone with zephrys can anticipate very early how to disrupt your win condition.
If unanswered, the weapon can grow insanely strong.
But I like your list and haven't tried it yet. So I'll head into the new season with it and come back with a feedback.
I look forward to hearing how you go! I just started at r8 and 4-0 so far :D
I fear Zephrys is too big a problem here. It provides weapon destruction and can destroy your win condition.
I know this very well from the wild meta where I am quite successful with my spectral burgle rogue.
Without the weapon the tempo burgle package doesn't provide enough punch to compete with other decks in wild and standard meta.
Thanks for the comment :)
I've actually had a different experience in standard and find the tempo package in the deck to be quite strong. And Zephrys is not as common as you say.. Again, often being played before your weapon or without giving them removal if you have a good board. I've managed at least a positive WR and I think I've misplayed a lot.
I'd love to know if you've played around with the deck in standard and if you have any specific suggestions? I've also started playing a wild version so would love to see your deck if you've shared it.
I love the Cutlass, made some 300wins in wild with it, and like to try in in standard. But I neither own Captain Greenskin nor Edwin. What are good alternatives? Did you test any of the following cards?
Academic espionage- because I don't care about winrate? And a second cutlass?
A pirate-or attack synergy, like the growing 3/3, or the combo-pirate that buffs your weapon?
Maybe Shadowstep&Evil Miscreant for more options?
Shadowstep is a good addition. I love espionage but there isn't a good enough draw engine after you've played it imo. The combo pirate would be a great fit too, but haven't tried it myself
I feel that, considering the popularity of zephrys, it would be recommended to either run the quest or a second cutlass as a fallback plan. Otherwise you are basing your entire gameplan on a single card that you not only have to draw but also keep alive.
Also, I think with the amount of burgle effects, The cutlass lacks sustain. Academic Espionage should help with that in the lategame.
Having a second cutlass is fair, but the tempo package actually wins most games. I usually try to wait for after they've played zeph to equip the weapon, but surprisingly he often doesn't give weapon removal if you have a decent board.
Regarding sustain, I've never run out of burgled cards to keep the weapon alive. For fatigue games you can usually coordinate infinite Tess which feels really good when it happens.
I am surprised you are not using the quest with this deck. Seems like it would fit in really easily.
It's a slightly different take on quest Rogue. It concentrates on buffing the lifesteal weapon which helps you stabilise in the mid game and then get excellent value from your burgled cards.
If weapon destruction becomes more prominent, I don't think it would do as well (you'd probably put in a second weapon) but for now you mostly just need to avoid Zephrys.
Others working fine (twitch, bank, slack). Worse comes to worse I’ll just give it a reinstal
Same problem for me on Android. Reinstall fixed it, but still occasionally freezes like others have reported - usually when I'm in my collection though
More or less yes - i also tried different Cards like for example i tried using Batterhead and only one Mosh Ogg
Not the fastest deck to climb the ladder but still possible - sure with all the Aggro decks that are around right now it´s not the easiest deck to play but still doing decent.
Catrina Muerte is a pretty strong card in this Deck because she gives you at least one Rezz - but if you're tight on dust i guess you could sub her for something else like
Hey! Thanks for the reply. I didn't realise the notification thing till now.
I ended up creating her actually... Deck is prettypretty fun to play but like you say, a bit of a slow climb. Really hoping the next expansions support the archetype!
Myra's always felt a little slow / random to me. I'd need to relook at the available deathrattles again, but my gut reaction says no since I don't think you could properly anticipate the outcome.
Made some minor changes to the deck and I think I'll need to rewrite the guide to explain more things soon. I cut the Underbelly Fences for Hench-Clan Thugs and it works better in general now. Made it to top 40 last night with the changes (though might have decayed since).
Amazing! Well done! Looking forward to the new guide (thanks in advance).
I got Myra in a pack but have never played her really.. Hoping that she'll be good with the new patch
I am a little bummed I crafted Armagedillo now. Would be nice to get a dust refund on it but not the end of the world without. It is going to have a huge impact though. The deck will be much less consistent.
I had the same feeling after the preparation nerf having recently crafted Edwin a few weeks earlier. Feel your pain, but blizzard would never be that generous.
Myra's is generally better if you have the burst to finish them out in the next 1 or 2 turns since it puts you on a clock. This deck however doesn't run Leeroy, Lifedrinker, or massive weapons as other Rogues normally would, so Myra's won't be as effective as it would in other decks. Undatakah on the other hand can be a checkmate the same way that Octosari is, it's a little more situational as you'll need to have played at least 1 whelp for it to really be effective, but I imagine it will close out games much better than Myra's.
Okay, fair enough. Thanks so much for the reply.
I've recently hit rank 5 so I'll keep trying it (2-4 with it so far but feels very different to play.. Still learning)
Kind of underwhelming for me. Really hope it's not a legendary I open!
I'm excited for you! I'm really hoping I unpack dragonbane. I think if that happens I'm finally going to craft Genn!
I've started playing wild with burgle Rogue and it's actually been fun so far so I really wish I could play this deck :)
Thank you for a great report, as usual!
Nice. I play the same but drop both hucksters for shaku and a scheme
Preach!
Love it!

Oh, also, veeerrrrrryyy open to suggestions on improvements!!
Replacement for Toggwaggle? And would you have to modify the lackey package without him?
I'm missing thalnos, so replaced him with lorewalker cho for the lols and he's actually not bad in this deck!
Any suggestions for what I should actually be replacing him with? This deck is fun as!

Do you think Myra rotspring fits into this deck after the discover patch??
