    • Grandmasters Week 2 (April 16 – April 18) : 2 Year of the Phoenix packs *
    • Grandmasters Week 3 (April 23 – April 25) : 2 Year of the Phoenix packs *
    • Masters Tour Orgrimmar (April 30 – May 2) : 2 Year of the Phoenix packs
    • Grandmasters Week 4 (May 7 – May 9) : 2 Year of the Phoenix packs *
    • Battlegrounds Brawl: Battle of the Boars (May 12) : 2 Forged in the Barrens packs
    • Grandmasters Week 5 (May 14 – May 16) : 2 Year of the Phoenix packs *

you choose to give the rewards the meanings that you choose to give them

You're joking or being sarcastic, right? Because I just can't believe anyone could say such bullshit seriously.

How the hell are we going to choose the meaning of a reward? A reward or award is given to someone by virtue of an achievement that he/she has achieved, and objectively that is what it means, no more, no less.

Of course some of you are capable of anything, cheap philosophy included, so to continue to idolize the almighty but humble Blizzard, the one who is never wrong and always does everything right.

As I said to your friend: imagine fully healing you for only 6 mana!! and with a body as a gift!! and being a neutral card!! BUSTED!!

Are you aware that what you say is only true if you construct your deck in a very restrictive way? (spells only, no minions) Why do you simplify so much?

By that rule of three I guess you also considered Reno Jackson very OP and wanted it nerfed... after all for only 6 mana you are fully healed and have a decent body!!

Okay then, let's remove any kind of exclusivity after a while!!

When will I be able to buy the card back of my avatar with gold? Or the card back this news is about?

Do you seriously see feasible, reasonable and logical to sell the Esports Card Back for Masters Tour Event for a few hundred gold? Not at all, right?

I reiterate again: there are first class clients and exclusivities and second class clients and exclusivities

But nonetheless those exclusivities are not for everyone.

For instance, I have all the monthly card backs that show my loyalty to the game from day one... however Blizzard spits in my face by selling those card backs for a symbolic amount of gold to everyone regardless of their seniority in the game.

Or for example, Blizzard also spits in the faces of those who spent real money on a pre-purchase to receive an exclusive card back, and now they see how those card backs are also sold to everyone for a symbolic amount of gold.

It is clear that there are first class clients and exclusivities and second class clients and exclusivities.

It's even worse: there are card backs (that of my avatar) that are only available to people who are from a single specific country out of the hundreds in the world (you can already imagine what country it is). Is that racism?

Attention! The Masters Tour should not be confused with the Grandmasters Weeks

To clarify, the events schedule and its rewards is as follows:

    • Grandmasters Week 1 (April 9 – 11) : 2 Year of the Phoenix packs
    • Grandmasters Week 2 (April 16 – April 18) : 2 Year of the Phoenix packs *
    • Grandmasters Week 3 (April 23 – April 25) : 2 Year of the Phoenix packs *
    • Masters Tour Orgrimmar (April 30 – May 2) : 2 Year of the Phoenix packs
    • Grandmasters Week 4 (May 7 – May 9) : 2 Year of the Phoenix packs *
    • Grandmasters Week 5 (May 14 – May 16) : 2 Year of the Phoenix packs *
    • Grandmasters Week 6 (May 21 – May 23) : 2 Year of the Phoenix packs *
    • Grandmasters Week 7 (May 28 – May 30) : 2 Year of the Phoenix packs *
    • Grandmasters Week 8 (Play-offs) (June 4 – June 6) : 2 Forged in the Barrens packs

(Those marked with an * are shared rewards, i.e. you can only get 2 Year of the Phoenix packs at most from all those weeks altogether)

I must correct you. 20 bucks is the price that costs 20 packs and two Legendaries (like the bundle that was on sale until a couple of weeks ago).

There is not excuse: these purchasable decks are clearly overpriced, specially taking into account that most of them are not too competitive, that almost everyone at this stage already has most of the cards that compose them and that many of those cards cannot be disenchanted.

    Really? 20 bucks?? WTF

Certainly Blizzard is in dire need of dough... the problem is that there will always be people who don't know where to throw their money... they will be tempted by this bait and will fall into the trap.

Any answer from Blizzard on why this hero is not available with gold like all other previous heroes?

Especially shocking is the comparison with Medivh, which was launched in the same way and on the same date as Alleria and Magni but was nonetheless able to be purchased with gold a couple of weeks ago.

Well, I just got banned from that site, just because of congratulating the censor on his hard work.

I hope I am not banned from here too :(

I am guessing the censored comments are akin to hate speech, which is an expression of intolerance. Why should anyone be forced to tolerate expressions of intolerance? Are twitch trolls just exercising their free speech by spamming provoking messages and they should just be left alone? Enforcing rules that create spaces for more meaningful discussion is hardly dictatorship. I am all for expressing different opinions, but at least they should be presented in a civilized and respectful way. Silencing toxicity at least states that it is not welcome on that platform until the perpetrators learn to express their opinions in a more appropriate way. We have lived in a world of rules for centuries so not having absolute freedom is hardly the downfall of society.

Not at all. Can you see any "hate speech" or intolerance here?

That said, and speaking of the subject at hand: I am in favor of giving visibility to minorities, because otherwise it would lead to think that they do not exist.

However, the so-called "positive discrimination" can be dangerous and can work against what we were trying to achieve.

The fact that gender, race or sexual orientation is considered as a factor over the merits, effort and personal worth is a serious error in my opinion.

Why? Because there is nothing more sexist than choosing someone ONLY because of their gender, or there is nothing more racist than choosing someone ONLY because of their race. That’s discrimination, “positive”, but discrimination nonetheless.

We are all human beings, we must leave out trifles such as sex, race, sexual orientation and other personal characteristics that do not influence at all in, for example, a card game.

I fully understand that Blizzard wants us to believe that this game is for women too, but make no mistake, the vast majority of content creators and professional players of this game are men.

I really wish it were something more egalitarian or there was some clear way to do so, seriously, but forcing women to participate just because they are women without meeting the popularity and merit requirements that have been demanded of the other male participants... it seems to me an outrage.

I am convinced that there must be other ways to encourage and favor the participation of women and other minorities in public events of this caliber, but I honestly believe that "positive discrimination" is not the solution.

Imagine that for future editions it is required that half of the participants be men and the other half women, but that because men are a majority and are more specialized (which is a fact) they far exceed women and leave them in a bad place... is that positive? What should be done? Maybe rig the game so that women can have more opportunities than men and thus win more and balance the scale? I don’t think so.

I come from the comments section of hearthpwn about this same news. I hope there is no such insulting censorship here as there is there.

There, you only have to look at the numbers followed by an # at the side of each comment and you will see how many are missing in a normal numerical correlation.

That's indicating that the society is doomed.. The theoretical inviolable freedom of speech has given way to a vile dictatorship of the politically correct.

Silencing the dissidents does not solve anything, it only gives them more strength, increasing their number as time passes.

Why can't we understand that uniformity of thought is a utopia? Why not try to understand other points of view and thus dialogue peacefully as people? Without censorship or imposition, I appeal to sanity and tolerance.

I'm happy to see only positive reactions in this comment section. Out of Cards is truly an oasis in the gaming community :)

    Is there censorship here too?

Seems like there is censorship indeed. If we write enough subjectively "negative" comments, Flux will become disappointed, and will just disable the whole comments section, as he did in https://outof.cards/hearthstone/2975-paul-zalae-nemeth-suspended-from-all-hearthstone-esports-events-following-relationship-abuse-allegations

Well, then the society is doomed.. The theoretical inviolable freedom of speech has given way to a vile dictatorship of the politically correct.
