I'm not surprised regarding quests because I knew bad quests were going to be bad.  I got a lot of hate for pointing them all out on their respective discussion threads but now I get to say "I told you so".  You won't believe how personally offended and rude people get when you criticize their favorite cards.  It's not my fault Blizzard made your card low power level; I'm just explaining the fact

As for actual decks, bomb warrior is doing surprisingly badly for being a counter to highlander decks.  On the other hand, aggro and control warrior are surprisingly powerful and employing some pretty neat cards that I didn't think would go in the respective decks.  Everything else is within my expectations (even the murloc invasion and inner fire no-quest priest being mid tier due to how broken Amet and psychopomp are)

Specifically this one, because the highlander mage is butt ton of dust and feels risky. Right now Mage archetypes is third winrate Mage(53.71), after Control mage(55.25) and Big spell(54.69), so my question is mainly about Reno the Relicologist and Zephrys the Great.

Do you feel this cards could carry the archetype? Do they bring unique fun experience? Maybe you got some other opinions? Would really appreciate your opinions =3

If your collection is only missing Reno and Zephrys for reno mage, you can just play regular giants freeze mage with tortollans thrown in.  I was farming Reno mages with it all the way to legend.  I felt super favored in the "mirror" because I run more board freezes, have two of conjurer's/giants for more consistent openings and have more draw

IMO, freeze is easily the best build of giants mage if you only care about winrate.  You play Reno or sandwitch mage only if you want to meme around with the new cards.  That's not to say they're not good; they can hold their own with a decent winrate in the current meta but as strictly worse versions of the trihard build, there's no reason to play them short of personal preference (and there's nothing wrong with that, if that's your thing!)

That said, Zephrys is a great card and probably worth crafting.  He's currently found in the tier 1 decks highlander hunter and murloc paladin, which isn't a highlander deck but draws fast enough for Zephrys to be good.  IMO, playing Zephrys is the most fun thing about Reno mage by far but this is something you can enjoy in other decks too

Edit: As of now, it looks like Reno mage is the 4th best mage deck behind dragon mage on HSReplay.  As you might remember, dragon mage is in fact the unrefined prototype of what later became cyclone and freeze mages in the late RoS meta.  So ... yeah, don't craft this unless you're okay with spending dust on memes

Hard to pick, but I'll go with Flame Ward for opening up so many options for Secret mage.

And being so hard to play around to

It's not hard to play around.  People just straight up don't play around it.  We've never had a mage secret that AOEs the board so they don't think of it.  It's the same deal with pressure plate

You may be right on this one, we may all just need a bit of training to make it as predictable as any other secret. I was saying hard to play around as in, usually, you would test the water deploying a cheap minion 1st, then a cheap spell, and so on until you are confident you can make your move. We will get better at it, or maybe just I need to get used to it

I think the main reason people play hard into Flame Ward is that people are just trained to check for Vaporize first by hitting with a small minion and Flame Ward is kinda checked the opposite way.

Missing a bit of damage by checking for the wrong secret first is marginal (and arguably not even a missplay if it's randomly generated).  I'm talking about players going face after playing out their minions for the turn and damaging/losing their minions.  Even when I was stuck at rank 1 for a day, I was facing plenty of players doing this.  Other times I see people play their minions, drag an arrow to my face before remembering the secret exists and deciding to not attack

    It's simple:

    • Quest paladin has an insane winrate against control warrior, which is tier 1
    • Quest shaman is harder to refine than the rest because of how many battlecries there are in the game (you can't just search for "reborn" and add everything like paladin); its winrate should rise at some point
    • Quest druid looks good on paper, but loses hard to all of the current top tier decks (control warrior, giant mages, murloc paladin).  In a more stable meta where people are triharding, the deck is just not good.  I've played 29 games total @ rank 1 and haven't found a single druid
    • Everything else is just bad and/or has a stronger non-quest counterpart

IMO, the druid quest has potential as a support card for other archetypes of druid, where instead of spamming choose 1 cards as your win condition, you have some kind of combo or other finisher.  The quest is probably worth playing just to activate your nourish, oasis surgers, wrath and starfall.  I wouldn't call these quest druids anymore than you'd call the current control warriors "taunt warrior" for having a small amount of taunt synergy however

Reached legend again just now @ 71% winrate with freeze mage!

This had to be one of the most frustrating legend runs I've had in awhile.  Faced the final boss 7 times in total and on the 6th time, I almost fell out of rank 1 (climbing got a lot harder at ranks where people figured out that quest druid is terrible lol)

I think I'm done with giants based mages for the foreseeable future after this.  I like to play decks where I'm happy to queue into the mirror because I think I can easily outplay the opponent.  With giants mages, you will easily lose regardless if the opponent has pocket galaxy in a timely manner and you don't, which is frustrating to me (Although, one time I almost beat someone with that kind of draw: I had giants, chain freezes and made the decision to capitalize on them rather than try to go even and lose slowly... would have won if the opponent didn't power of creation into taunts in the end)

The meta was pretty stable once I started reaching the trihard ranks.  It's mostly reno mages up here, with a number of aggro shamans, control warriors and murloc paladins.  A small amount of tempo rogues, midrange/reno hunters.  One inner fire priest that I kept queuing into.  No druids or warlocks whatsoever

What I would like to see in a discussion about decks being OP or something like that is some hard verifiable numbers and definitions which can be verified in an independent manner using scientific methods. Something like "this deck will win 75% of all games on average if played by an algorithm that tries to spent as much mana each turn as possible". Something like this would be definitely OP.

I agree that you can detect if a deck is OP on the basis of what is played in the meta, say the majority of games are played between 1 out of 3 decks, 1 is the OP one, the other one is its only counter, and the third one tries to feast on the only counter, and all other played decks have seriously bad winrates against the OP deck. Something like this. Apart from this, people are always complaining about early combo's that seriously unbalance the board state, being either a board of giants, a board of murlocs or a board of big-health taunts which will soon turn into an inner fire OTK. On one hand the insane RNG luck someone can have can be irritating, on the other hand this is just part of the game and works not only for one person, but also for the other.

Are you saying you want stats to back up the fact that this deck is good?  Because it is currently one of two tier 1 decks on HSReplay with a 59% winrate over a 110k sample size.  I don't know what algorithms maximizing mana expenditure have anything to do with it

I used to watch episodes of Black Mirror with my older brother together at his home, but then he moved too far for my taste, so I stopped watching the series. :P :P :P

I'm the kind of person who usually needs to watch and share things with someone else. Most of the time, I can't stand watching a movie or series alone, and no, not even Game of Thrones (when it was good)... :( :( :(

I normally enjoy these things alone and while I can agree that watching with people is generally more fun, I can't imagine having to do this always

I mean, that sounds a logistical nightmare.  What if one person doesn't like a show after getting into it but the other one does?  What if one person becomes super busy (or moves away)?  What if you want to start watching a show but no one is interested in what you picked?  What if your friend goes, "wtf man, why are you such a fan of a complete psychopath like Ramsay Bolton?" lol

I've been spamming this deck a lot in brawl to test its power level (and earn gold!).  It's good, but not as good as you perceive it to be on the other side of the board.  What people see and remember are the highrolls with turn 4 or 5 tip the scales.  The main issue with it is that it's extremely bad if you don't get your tip the scales in a timely manner (past turn 8); you can just auto lose any matchup if you draw poorly.  It's extremely reminiscent of wild Big Priest in that you can highroll any deck early or struggle hard when you don't

Though I personally don't have a problem with them, these kinds of highroll decks are generally considered to be very frustrating to play against (and with depending on your personality).  Whether or not this is a problem that needs to be addressed is another matter entirely though

I saw a similar deck on ladder yesterday around rank 2.  The combo was Elise on Floop and Nomi.  This generates 4 Nomis in total.  I still would have won if 2 of my 4 big board clears were not bottom 3 but in any case, it's a pretty neat combo.  The King Phaoris is fitting the same role here but it costs 10 and you don't seem to have enough big spells to achieve the same effect

Im looking forward to seeing Witcher, yes. Not sure what to expect, but i will watch it.

I can second recommendation of Westworld. Pretty unique take on a relatively common "robot" theme. I was pleasantly surprised. And there are some major WTF moments as well, great series :)

For more unique takes on sci-fi, make sure to watch Black Mirror if you haven't already.  Westworld is more or less a really long episode of Black Mirror.  It's an anthology series with WTF endings each episode.  They both deal with the underlying theme of future or emerging technologies and their moral implications of their existence.

I'm afraid to get too hyped because video game to movie/show adaptations are notorious for turning out terrible.  Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised :)

I want desperately to fill the big empty hole GoT left into my heart... At least a bit. ;)

I have some cures for a GoT shaped hole in the heart

    • If you're looking for something with the same dark, nihilistic vibes and vulgar HBO flavor, you can check out Westworld.  It also has beautifully elegant twists rivaling Ned dying in the end.  Multiple POVs from a diverse set of characters competing against each other ensures you're guaranteed to find favorites (for you, I'd guess it'd be the unnamed CEO enjoying his company's own game.  If only all gaming companies had such a cool CEO Kappa)
    • Similarly, American Horror Story is also dark and full of terrors twists.  Those plot twists are less elegant and more for shock value, but what makes this series stand out is the lack of plot armor that I've only ever seen here and in GoT.  Everyone can (and will) die.  That said, it's not to be confused with an actual horror movie; this series has a plot of substance and the horror part is only for backdrop flavor.  The recent seasons have become a bit too political for my tastes (maybe you'll like the MAGA vs feminists season idk) but because it's an anthology, that doesn't really effect the rest of the story
    • If you liked GoT for its complex Machiavellian politics and intrigue you can join "Littlefinger" in House of Cards.  Unlike the above two and GoT, this series features only one main character but that certainly doesn't take away from its complexity.  And just like GoT, this also went to shit when they stopped following the books
    • If you just want to watch evil mary sues rampage through a medieval setting like, dare I say, a certain Bolton, check out Showtime's The Borgias.  There's also no shortage of Machiavellian politics and intrigue here but it's mostly simple, 20 goodmen type shenanigans.  The pilot is a bit weak as they set up the story but it gets fun fast

People should check now: Sherman1986's views on female streamers - 2nd part It's getting a lot of hate... Enjoy!!! XD XD XD

I can't believe people are not only taking your post seriously, but mine too.  I thought it was super obvious.  How can this many people be so clueless???

Apparently not everyone can understand how serious you were being (which is not at all lol)

Well, people is just being, well... people. :P I upvoted your comment because you made me laugh a lot and knew you wasn't serious, but probably it should be the only upvote your post should have considering the circumstances. XD

Also, thanks for being with me all this time, I appreciate your company and support a lot. Seriously, thanks for everything, my dear NightCrawler!!! :D :D :D

Don't mind me, I'm a simple person; if something is entertaining, I'll be there.  Thank you for making the place more entertaining.  No one else could have generated several triggered posts from just a single misplaced "cute" in a comment

Edit: Now we have someone comparing you to robbers and criminals.  Because of "cute".  wtf xD

Looks like both of the new secrets are super OP for the time being.  I'm up to rank 3 now and absolutely no one plays around them

I don't remember this being the case in the past, but it looks like the general playerbase needs time learning how to play around them

I'm gonna try Slysssa's Quest Malygos Druid and Alliestrasza's Quest Shudderwock Shaman, not only because I like the decks, but also because they are made by cute female streamers who deserve more recognition... Of course, I already upvoted both. :) :) :)

Fist off replying to Sherman: You got downvoted because you are blantantly objectifiying these female streamers. In a world where objectification is at an all time high, doing it, where it really doesn't make sense to do it, just makes you look like a creep. You could have just said you like the female streamers and think they deserve more attention as streamers and gamers, not because you think they are 'cute'. I know it's confusing, I was confused as to why you got downvoted, then saw the word cute and facepalmed hard.

Thanks for taking the time to put the issues with Sherman's post so eloquently into words.  I sincerely hope these words will find Sherman and the rest of his friends and that they understand the seriousness of posts like his

You failed to ask the real question here, however.  That is, how many fedoras do you reckon he owns?

This card is OP in freeze mage, as expected.  Pulls your pocket galaxy more consistently if you're not under pressure, or stalls with freezes/box otherwise.  Great conjuring target and great draw after pocket galaxy is active

Climbed from rank 11 to 5 last night and did some spectating at the end

Knee jerk reaction: quest druid seems both super popular and absolutely terrible (or needs refining badly).  I've only lost to it once with terrible draws and the people on my friendlist had a similar experience
