How have you been finding the Arena and what's the best strategy?
Thought I had a decent deck of good value stats and OP cards with a good curve but ended up going 1-3 as priest. since classic, I've always spent 90% of my gold on arena runs, but I took a break over the last 2 expansions.
Great work and you're totally right about Warlock feeling messy in its current form, I'm looking forwards to seeing more custom class reworks and eventually the official ones. Hope someone from Blizz is taking notes as warlock is definitely a big one on the cards for a rework - pun intended.
Huge fan of Bane of Doom but in its the current form it's way to RNG - I would love to see it toned down for more playability. Perhaps 3 mana deal 2 damage, if it dies summon a random demon that costs 3 or less.
What would a Scarlet Crusade expansion encompass with the current lore we know of?
Undead ofc Demons (malganis come back)? Dragons / Time travel (mages)? - (WoW: Culling of Stratholme dungeon) / + Fire and purging (mage / shaman) Huntsmasters + Cannoneers A lot of priest and paladin shenanigans. + Resurrection playstyle (sorry) Some Roguey Lilian'ess / Infiltration of the Crusade
If we want to take things one step further and really look into the future of hearthstone.. The Scarlet Crusade also features... M O N K S
The next expansion evidently looking like the Darkmoon Faire will be focused on the fun aspect of the faire but also (in WoW) if you're dead while there, it features a lot of ghosts. I believe Blizz is gearing up to introduce an undead tribe type covering both undead/ghosts, either for that expansion or the one sometime after which I'll get into soon, but first, let's look at a pattern that is currently emerging.
Recently, we've slowly been introduced to a theme that is: token ghost cards.
There is another card though.. that somewhat follows this theme.. and I believe it's the outlier and answer to what's coming. Infiltrator Lilian
I think we'll be seeing a Scarlet Crusade expansion set around the time of King Terenas and the Culling of Stratholme - with the Undead tribe type either introduced or fully fleshed out - pun intended.
It's a theme that has been vaguely floating around in the hearthstone universe, all the way back in classic we had: Scarlet Crusader But then... During the priest rework, we saw 2 new Scarlet Crusade themed cards with Scarlet Subjugator High Inquisitor Whitemane
I totally agree and had been thinking about this for a while too.
If it's something the mods would be looking to go ahead with I would be happy to contribute to the site and compile a large file of images all taken from hearthstone card art and promo art - formated to specific dimensions ready for whenever the option would be implemented to the site. :)
