Phenomenal power, reasonable mana-cost, super flexible design. Is this the next Zilliax? Eh, maybe but at 7-mana it might limit it to midrange and slower.
My first ranked card back! Pretty boring, but it was the first time I realized I could actually attain something in ranked mode instead of hiding from it in casual
This was the first card back I actually chose aside from the default. I was SO proud to get this when I was still building a collection and learning the game. I think I had a Hogger and that was it for legendaries haha
Excellent hunter secret, forces combo decks to be careful and could stop lethal without giving your opponent their minion back like with Freezing Trap. 10/10 would Zul'jin agai
I think it's a meme and as such until we see how viable that meme is (and given the power levels of aggro at the moment, might not be very viable at all) we shouldn't worry too much about it. It requires all cards in the combo to work.
In wild particularly this concept loses pretty ard to even shaman and odd paladin alone, let alone the many other hyper aggressive decks.
When I first saw this I thought "That shouldn't exist at all," and I still think that, but now I'm not concerned about it ruining the meta, just catching me off guard the 1-2 times it can even happen in the first month of SoU coming out.
On the flip side, Druid has a lot of ways to gain a crazy amount of armor in Wild. This is both a 'win more' condition and also an 'always win in fatigue' condition. They've allowed two turn "win now or else you lose the game to your opponent's combo" things to exist in Wild and totally dodge nerfs, so probably this will too, even though it's really unfair and should be nerfed.
I totally agree. I think regardless of its impact, this shouldn't get a free pass. Blizzard is still allowing things like this because "well it's unlikely" or "there are counters" as if that justifies bad interactions like this on
Excellent build for Rafaam in this brawl. I had a blast getting a full run on my first go of it.
Already having such a familiarity with the bosses from back when standard format was just "all the cards up until now" helps, but even just facing them a few times in this past week was more than enough to choose a line of attack and execute.

Excited to see them come out! I loved the achievements on Pwn, so OoC will be a whole new level of fun for me. Even more excited for notifications! I can definitely wait patiently for those. Like Paragon, I don't think you have anything to regret about the launch; it DOES say beta right on the top of the page, after all.
I'm excited that OoC has done so well and covered the news so closely thus far, but I would like to know when we'll get notifications for our posts and mentions.
Probably the only reason I take part in the forums at Pwn is because I can easily follow who has responded to me or if there's been an update. Here, I have to either bookmark or remember which forums I've commented on. I like following up on comments and having dialogue, and without notifications that becomes much more difficult.
I can't get enough of the little angery weeaboos shrieking about the less sexualized card art. Same sad bois that screamed and threw a fit over Jaina wearing a tank top.
Sorry that cards no one plays got art that shows less of those cartoonish breasts.
Best part? These are called "nerfs," because even if these cards were devoid of art they'd still do the same things, I guess?
Why do you feel the need to capitalize the mon in pokemon? that's weird..
Dynamax isn't exciting to me... mega evolutions were the best I have a feeling there will not be new designs ("galar forms") or mega forms this time around.
Apart from looking at the statss and design and a bit of competitive 6v6 (not VGC) theorycrafting I am kinda retired from that franchise, I used to play a lot of pokemon showdown back in gen 5~6
I am ok with a smaller roster in the game.. I mean.. you have too many of them anyway it's hard to implement them again and again and again in every game.. finding a way to obtain them.. getting a model it's hard.. and it keeps getting harder..
I guess it's just how I'm used to seeing it asa kid. The logo looks capitalized and it stands for Pocket Monsters, so it's just how I've always written it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
And yeah, it's completely understandable why there would be limitations in an exponentially expanding roster of creatures that's likely to reach 1k by the 9th generation. Just takes some adjusting to after 23 years of seemingly endless expansion
I'm super excited. Haven't played a proper Pokemon gain since Platinum, so there's a LOT of mons I haven't seen before. I don't have a collection of mons from previous games, so while I can understand the issue it isn't a problem for me. Hopefully they'll add more of the missing mons over time in the Wild Areas or as Raids. Dynamax looks like a silly mechanic but it'll be easy to wrap your head around, instead of only some Pokemon having Mega Evolutions or special moves.
I wanted to explore megas more for that very reason: there are so many PokéMon that don't have that form yet! I feel like Dynamax would have made more sense in the Let's Go! versions of the game, given it's considered by Nintendo as a great jumping off point for new players (alongside the nostalgia for veteran players) and a simpler game. Dynamax's simplicity would have fit very nicely in that game in tone and usage. In Sword and Shield it seems very underwhelming, but it's not going to stop me from absolutely loving this game

Definitely the best pre-order back to-date. Not that they're normally amazing designs
Top 3 coolest card backs: this might be number 1 imo!
what a delicious card back to play when you're running a soul-crushing grinder control deck
Super exciting stuff! Can't wait
I think Wild Bloodstinger has been the most exciting card to me. I love sneaky disruption cards, and this is a big boy

Not relegated to minions or spells alone? Great card, will definitely see play, maybe moreso in renolock in wild, but this is a good card

EZ pack, EZ run

Can't wait to leave my laptop streaming this while I watch literally anything else. GMs have been a complete trainwreck.

When - if at all - can we expect notifications?
Keep up the great work, everyone!

Would you like to share with the class, or should I take a moment to explain the relativity of this statement
