Being long time away from WoW I would appreciate an expansion in the setting of the Westfall / The Stockade / The Deadmines line for the Defias Brotherhood.

Ever since vanilla Edwin VanCleef is a rogue staple card and Defias Ringleader is roaming around (lately being facelessly summoned from time to time). Additional Defias card has been introduced with the MSG expansion but that was it.

I believe this rather prominent questline in WoW can and should be explored for inspiration of an expansion. Despite doing the questline time and time again in WoW I never seemed to embrace the idea of the Defias actually being the "bad guys", rather as an autonomous entity pursuing their own agenda (vengance to Stormwind nobles (rightfully so) and all that jazz).

I do miss the charm and quality of a well-thought out and engaging questline that was possible back in the ol' days. Scheming, plots and guilleria warfare are all sucker for a memorable resurrection under the robes of a HS expansion.

The setting in WoW have spanned several zones (dungeons included) so there is enough flavor to draw upon in terms of card art (finally Harvest Golem will find its long awaited home), battlefield designs, single player story to tell/play through, as well as a well known Antagonist to chase after.

In the recent expansions the HS team is not intimidated to come up with "modern" takes on classic legendaries, so why not get a new and shiny Eddie or Greenskin options? Also there are plenty of dungeon bosses to turn into meaningful legendaries (Go Cap' Cookie, go - you deserve a real HS card!).

Besides all that - it will be quite the romantic throwback for a lore-addicted oldie like myself :)

I've beeing browsing the site since it's initiation, however I just created an account to comment on this article and the rest of the lore related write-ups that started appearing every now and then.

I just love them and really appreciate the time and effort the authors invest! Hats down and keep up the good work!

In addition to being informational and time well spent by themselves I find them invaluable to bringing that rich flavor that hooked us all to the Warcraft Universe in the first place to the site, enhancing the overall user experience (at least for lore-seeking pass-byers like me :) )

Articles like these really take me back from the pragmatic everyday grind (both HS and IRL) to the magical side of things where Knights and Dragons still exist and make your imagination pop while absorbing every word along the way.

Thanks again for being awesome and godspeed!
