This is the method to fix wild, don't nerf cards but give counters. It helps not only against big priests but all mana cheating decks. It also helps against bloodreaver\N'zoth types of effect.
And here I thought Rogue was getting a board clear like the rest of the EVIL gang. This seems terrible, like a weapons project only without a million different ways for the rogue to exploit it. Envenom Weapon never saw play in standard, so why would this? Especially with rogue lists cutting saps and eviscerates?
I don't even think the flavour is on point. A plague of madness would be something like Mass Hysteria, instead both players get a very deadly weapon which they can use accurately and at their leisure. I didn't think I could be even more underwhelmed by the plague """cycle""" but there you have it.
Well, Envenom Weapon + dagger is 5 mana for almost the same weapon.... If that had no drawback of giving the same thing to your opponent it would be a monster card. Yet, drawback is huge and combining it with weapon removal doesn't look sexy
I'd just make it 2 mana 2/3, basic card for beginners to fool around with weak charge decks. And it will be an OK 2 drop for warrior in arena, they need as many of those as possible because they suffer the most from heropowering on 2
Hey, they are giving three free random Mythic rare cards via MYTHICMAGIC code (will work only till July 2). Got Oketra, Spawn of Mayhem and Skargan Hellkite. Didn't get anything I really wanted like Lilliana or Gideon but happy to dodge those mythical rare useless cards
This new priest card is so uninteresting and pathetically week... Rogue card can give interesting options and looks good for the arena.... but wasting a card to heal face for 5? I hardly imagine anything to motivate players to play it. Tricky spell synergies? If your deck is built around that then why not play some spells that do something useful?
Absolutely man! I’m in the exact same boat. However, we’re pretty safe to craft strongcards from the newer sets that we know will remain in Standard. Most recent was another “Experimental Frenzy”, since for sure there will an updated mono-red aggro that will use it!
Mono red aggro may have some problems in standard...
If I had to guess, I'd say that they'll probably give players some new decks with new cards. They'll have to update beginner's decks anyway and may give existing players part of what next newbies will get.
But I doubt they'll go as far as giving 10 full new decks to existing players.
BTW, I think it is likely that they'll change stuff new players get before rotation and together with the release of 2020 because in paper magic core sets are usually focused at newer players.
I suggest to remove that tank from the deck and forget that it exists in your collection. Better play some goblin synergy card or some combat trick or another big red creature (even something simple like 5 5\5 charging trampling dino) or whatever.
I....may not be pre-purchasing the next HS expansion and instead putting more time into MTGA. I don't know how seriously I'll end up taking the game, but at the same time, I don't mind spending $50 if it's a good value and can let me play some cool decks.
Well, it is impossible to tell how many cards of 2020 will be used in this and next standard and core 2020 will rotate next year but it is a good price and it will give you wild cards to craft rare lands and other essential cards you want for building deck(s) you want to play.
Investing in the next set after 2020 may be a better choice because that one will stay in standard longer.
That "new type" of minions actually is actually a thing in the fourth wing of Dalaran.
I can see it as deathrattle cards, with them being more or less spells but with extra synergy with summoned\died minions.

Random minion summons. Suppose you get one of these minions out of a Maelstrom Portal or Mounted Raptor. Well, you basically get nothing since the minion will die immediately when it hits the battlefield, and thus the summoning portion of the effect has been negated.
That depends. If this is X\0 vanilla or battlecry, then yep, that's not nice. If it is deathrattle - you are still getting the effect. Also you do know that there are results of random minion generation that are worse than getting nothing at all? I have doomsayered my board with a lackey more than once

The card is completely useless to them since it's basically a literal "pack filler", not even a card. Just a roadblock instead of a card you might find in a pack.
Again, It is completely wrong if the card has a useful deathrattle. Same with battlecry\choose one\combo. But even if it is a vanilla creature, instantly dying procs cards like Cult Master. Is that a good reason to put it in a deck? No, but it is a reason nevertheless.
Let's imagine a card. 1 mana 3/0 battlecry deal 2 damage to the enemy hero. Is it good? No, Can you use with something like Knife Juggler Yes. Can you play it in a handbuff deck? Yes. Can you play it in some bizarre Shudderwock deck? Yes.

If you cast it against 2 health minion you get a dead enemy minion and two 1/1s

Tournaments will be decided by this because this card will be randomly generated.
Shamans are bad at card generation (c) Blizzard :D
That looks... good for a wild quest rogue.
I will try it in burgle rogue for fun. Happy to draft in arena, should it be in lower brackets. Can't see this in a meta deck.
I demand dragon version of Reno. Because we all know that he is a dragon, right?
They really should make it immune to spells\heropowers because it is a faerie dragon...

Hello, Teferi Hero of Dominaria... And Lyra Dawnbringer, nice to meet you, too
Mono red aggro may have some problems in standard...

Red elemental decks are pushed. Runaway Steam-Kin will shine in this kind of decks.
Grull elemental decks may be something interesting, too.

Once per year. Ixalan, Rivals of Ixalan, Dominaria and Core 2019 will rotate out.
Spoiler season has just began, with 3 cards being revealed(http://www.magicspoiler.com/mtg-set/core-set-2020/). Full list will be available before the offer ends.
