Can't wait for the next competition, almost edging to just start one myself.
I do have a suggestion as for picking the winners vs how it worked on HearthPwn:
Show all the submitted entries (just the images + any tokens + flavor text) on page one. You could submit your card on page three, but the image itself (+ any tokens + flavor text) would be shown on page one at the top in a separate block/list. That way voters don't have to go through multiple pages and there is no discussions/annoyance anymore from creators about being on page X or page Y.
Maybe you could read all the cardimg blocks from the posts to get the images. Any cardimg blocks in a spoiler block would then be considered as a token. And if you want to use a flavor text, you can put in italic and read out the italic blocks. That way you have a fixed format for creators to adhere to and a way to show all the cards created in one clear list. I'd also add that you can't upvote until the card submission period is completed. Otherwise those who quickly put up an image might get more votes simply because visitors saw it early.
Just a few thoughts for improvement for the new forum. :P
Meh, first off you need to cast two spells just to give it a decent statline. That's three cards you're using for a single 9/9. And that's assuming you have two spells in your hand that you can actually use and don't cost more than 2 mana together. This would've been better a 6 mana 5/5 with the same effect.
It is an Elemental so *maybe* Cyclone Mage can make this work?
One random Beast? Nope. Waaaayyy to likely to be really terrible. Terrible to the point that getting King Krush from it would be worthy of putting on YouTube. Might've been a little better if it was 'Discover a Beast'. Even then though, 7 mana 4/4....yeesh.
Only your own Hero? Uhhh.....nope, can't find a use for it. Rogue would have a use for it as cheap heal + combo. Heal Paladin might give it a brief thought. The other classes laugh at this. Priest is crying in the corner.
Missile Launcher is the only thing that really comes to mind. And maybe a cheap Rush minion for relatively cheap removal + a 3/3 on the board. There are also a few Deathrattle minions that deal damage to the board or enemy minions when they die, I suppose it's good for those too.
This card requires you to already have a board AND to be able to trade that board. And have it be worth bringing back. For me that would mean stuff like Mechanical Whelp but other than certain Deathrattle minions I'm not seeing too much use for this at 7 mana. Maybe with Boom Bots if they survive a turn.
I can understand removing Mind Blast, I do. It restricts design space because Priest (especially with Prophet Velen or Malygos) could OTK quite easily if it gets any support or the ability to get duplicates of it.
My only worry is, where does this leave Priest? Is Rez/Big Priest really going to be the only way to play? Boringly removing everything until you can make your big board?
Silence Priest can be fun but is too unreliable to really get going.
Mind Blast was the card that acted as a finisher for more regular Control Priest decks like Dragon Control Priest last year. With Mind Blast gone, how exactly is Priest supposed to kill their opponent? Priest has plenty of Control tools but nothing to actually pressure the opponent except resurrection mechanics.
Maybe I'm wrong but I do worry what Priest is supposed to play now other than Rez Priest.
I'm seeing a lot of topics being created here, which is great of course, but I wonder how many might be duplicates asking for / reporting the same thing or nearly the same thing? There is no way to see if what you're asking hasn't already been requested or reported.
So my suggestion is to create a sticked topic in this forum where you show the list of most requested features that have already been noted and bugs that have been reported. That way people can quickly check that list and see if their feature request or bug report has already been made. Not everyone is going to read it but hopefully it'll help filter out the duplicates.
As for feature request mine is:
Have an option to show the card images in the Cards section. For me that has always been the easiest way to quickly browse multiple cards. The cards themselves show all their information so it seems like a good way to display a list of cards.

If you use Shift + Enter in the text editor, then (on my Firefox at least) you can't use the Spacebar anymore. It won't add a space in the text. Could be underlying HTML or something with the editor itself. Shift + Enter is what I use in certain text editors to avoid unneeded space between lines, though I'm not sure if that matters on this forum.

I was wearing a Taz (from Tazmanian Devil) T-shirt at the same and thusly Thez was born. Sometimes I use Thezzy instead when Thez isn't available due to it being a short name and some people use TheZ (as in 'The Z') as their name as well (Thez wasn't available on HearthPwn for example).
Came here from HearthPwn, noticed a thing or two I'd figure I'd mention. I know the website is still in Beta so maybe the below list is already on a todo list. If so, maybe having that todo list as a stickied topic in this forum is an idea?
Anyways, my feedback so far:
When I logged in, I ended up on the Register page. I created my account earlier today from a different computer, maybe that causes it? I was succesfully logged in though.
For the card list, I'm really missing the option to visually see the cards. The cards themselves display all their information which makes them a very efficient means of showing a big list of cards. It's what I always used on HearthPwn and it feels easier to use than a flat list with only text.
Missing a Standard filter in the card list is also quite big I think. I lacks years of cards to play Wild so only Standard cards are useful to me.
Cost filter for Decks is something I'm missing as well. Decks that cost 15k+ dust are unlikely to be playable by me so I'd like to be able to filter them out.
There is no way to see yet in which threads/topics you're active, only the ones you've created. Makes it a bit tricky to check for updates.
There is little spacing between list items if you don't Shift+Enter between items, maybe add some spacing for readability?
Because without it, it feels like the text can clutter up pretty quickly and become a big listed wall of text that's hard to read and separate from items that go over more than one line. Could just be me though. :P
I only had this once on my other computer, but I was unable to use the Spacebar at the end of my text. I could use it if was between any text, but if I was just typing a line at the end, hitting Spacebar didn't do anything, like it was being trimmed out or something. Could be my Google Chrome as I'm using Firefox at the moment, I'll check when I get back on that computer.
