Obvious comparison is Flamestrike, but this is better in most use cases. The biggest problem with large board clears is that you have no or little mana to develop your board after you played them. When you are already behind this often means that you buy a turn but continue to loose. With this card you can not only wipe the board but also build up a board presence at the same time, which is prefarable in most use cases to the +1 damage of Flamestrike. An additional benefit is that you can set up a board state with your minions and basically transform them in 3/3s after you traded for example. So the fact that it also hits your minions compard to Flamestrike is not neccessarily a disadvantage.
Broom is a really good card (borderline OP), a lot of decks (especially midrange) might want to run this as Rush is a powerful mechanic (as others pointed out it's bascially a 1 mana mini carpet for one turn)
10-mana druid spell (i don't believe it is called Fluffy Fight) if played on Turn 10+ is probably ok (sure the effect is strong but it is also really slow); however this will be very problematic if cheated out early or cast randomly; I fully expect this to be nerfed for this reason
I don't like this card at all. This introduces a whole new dimension of RNG to an already RNG heavy game. We already have a lot of cards which add a significant amount of randomness to this game (discover, add random, cast random, etc.). Now the (random) board you are assigned will also have an effect. I was quite happy when the devs said that they will turn down the amount of randomness (i.e. discover) earlier and now they are adding this instead. Also this is not a meme card but will surely see play as some of the options are really good.
I don't know. This certainly is a great event for some players but I feel this only serves a really narrow part of the player base. Entry fee is quite high and as a casual or medium-skilled player without a pretty good collection you probably get eliminated right away. I would love to see an event that caters to a broad playerbase and also includes casual players. Something like Felfire Festival in Hearthstone. MTGA is lacking this in my opinion, but maybe it's just me :)
Any specific reason for not running Evocation? I would certainly consider adding it to any no minion mage list. It is not a super vital card but has the potential to save your ass in the late game.
I'm tempted to go with Rin and Seri but I will settle for Mangara, the Diplomat; the main reason is that white finally gets a decent draw engine (especially in mono white this was one of the biggest weaknesses) and white players now might finally be able to construct a reasonable Commander deck; in addition Mangara also is very versatile and fits into almost any white deck. I'm looking forward to built a deck.
Locking out wild decks from this mode is pretty ridiculous. As a Wild player I am just disappointed. Overall it feels like the disappointing add-on mode to an already disappointing solo content. If this had cost any money I would be pretty pissed.
Side note: Built myself a standard Reno Highlander Mage, so far pretty ok
It feels lacking. In my opinion it is certainly among the worst HS Solo Contents released so far (Galakronds Awankening already was pretty disappointing).
Story-wise it is ok, maybe a bit uninspired but overall ok. My main issue is the replayability, escpecially when you compare it to the previous dungeon-run style adventures. In the Dungeon Runs you had different hero classes, a variety of treasures and card buckets and quite a lot of bosses (some pretty rare, so you might only encounter them in your 10th run or so). In short much more variety and thus at least some replayability. In comparison the current Adventure feels extremely linear and boring to me. It was slightly interesting the first time but I don't really want to play it again. Dungeon runs were much better imho.
I don't really care about the changes (guess they are ok if people feel degraded by these cards). As a non-US citizen I did not get most of the racial references anyways (certainly would not have realized the KKK one, which is clearly not acceptable for a mainstream card game). I am just slightly worried that they may push this too far in the future (i don't want any racism in my game, but i also don't want it to be totally PC).
Side note: The discussion here is thankfully pretty civilized, over in the MTGA forums some people are freaking out a bit and the tone is not very nice (another proof that this is a really good community and well administrated site). Thanks for that.
I used to fool around a lot with the Jungle Giants quest, so here is my (favorite) Jungle Giants meme deck (Attention: not competitive). Every expansion I think about how to turn this into a half decent deck, so far to no avail (in other words this is a really shitty deck but I kind of like it). I lose a lot but it fells really good if I manage to pull it off and stomp my opponent with Barnubas.
You are doing a great job, no need for apologies. This week's content so far was probably better than anything certain other sites managed to do the last entire year. Thanks a lot and relax a bit.
Feather the Redeemed is my favorite commander currently. I love value and she can certainly provide a lot of it, getting your spells back every round is quite nice. Also she alleviates the lack of card draw which is one of the biggest weaknesses in Boros. Provided of course she can enter the battlefield and stay there a bit (which is kind of the problem with her as she is the prime removal target for every opponent)
Congrats to the team and also thanks a lot for the great week so far
I like this quite a lot especially flavor-wise. I could definitly see a "Chronomancer" class being added to HS. You actually seem to have sunk quite a lot of time into developing this (bad pun I know). :)
The area that could need some work is balancing. Quite a few of the cards seem outright wrong. I will just give two examples:
The Rift: Super unfun to play against. You lose? Just reset the game. This would probably be OP at 10 Mana. Nobody wants games that could last an hour or so. Should never be printed ihmo
Frozen Soul: As it is you could rephrase the text to: Play this, win the game. If at all this effect would need to be attached to a quite high cost minion (to give the opponent at least the chance to remove this)
Hi guys, here are my top 5 (not in a specific order)
Song of Creation: Incredible draw engine albeit with a hefty drawback; tried to make this work with Tamiyo to get back cards and Thassa's oracle as a win condition; was really underwhelming but I guess I simply suck at deck building
Titanoth Rex: It's big and it's a dinosaur, do I need to say something else?
Ivy Elemental: Ahh nostalgia; this was first printed in Odyssey around the time I started to play paper Magic; I did not have a lot of cards and this was one of my better ones; old art was nicer though ihmo
Evolving Wilds: Personally I think one of the best artworks in the set; massive improvement over the previous version; also a good utility card
Sprite Dragon: Izzet is one of my favorite combinations and this is a great card with beautiful artwork; unfortunately it does lack the support to make it viable

So much RNG, almost feels like Hearthstone :)
