Riot has announced what we can expect from Legends of Runeterra for the remainder of 2021. Here's a quick recap:
- They hope to do more events like the Sentinels of Light in the future. This would include a new champion and event across all of Riot's games at the same time.
- The new experiment for the Lab of Legends is an RPG-style progression Lab of Legends.
- Adventure through Bilgewater as Miss Fortune, Tahm Kench, or Twisted Fate.
- Goal is to defeat Gangplank
- Bandle City is Legend of Runeterra's final region.
- The Bandle expansion releases in August 2021.
- Home of the Yordles!
- The December expansion and the one after that will have more content than usual.
- Champions from Ixtal and The Void will still be coming in the future. They will be added to existing regions where they best fit.
- A fourth expansion, focused on PVE, has been added to the list for this year. It will release in November.
- Riot is still working on their plans for live patches. They will share details when they have them.

So they finally confirmed Bandle City.
I am very intrigued by the PVE focus expansion.
As a LoL Rumble main I already smell scorched enemies :)
Edit let me Theorycraft what Rumble will look like:
Rumble is a 5 mana 3/4 with: Whenever I see you cast your second spell each turn I enter the dangerzone.
Whenever I see you cast the 4th spell each turn Silence me and give me 3+0 and overwhelm this round.
Attack: give me +0/+1 and deal 1 damage to all enemies if I am in the dangerzone give me +0/+2 and deal 2 damage to all enemies instead (this ability goes on the stack).
Level up condition: Rumble or Abilities of Rumble have dealt a total of 10 damage (Needs to be seen but counts damage dealt while he is silenced)
Level 2 Rumble: Same Abilities as lvl 1 rumble but also: as long as he is in the dangerzone: spells cost 1 mana less to cast and deal 1 damage to all enemies and the enemy nexus.
As his Champion spell he has Rumble's Electro Harpoon:
2 mana focus speed:
deal 1 damage to target enemy. The Next time the enemy takes damage from a spell or ability this turn he takes that much damage plus 1 and stun him. Create: " Round two" in hand. This is essentially the same spell without creating an additional copy of it in hand.
I like this design it offers plenty of interesting interactions.
Now while I wouldn't describe any Yordle champions as one of my mains, I did play lot's Veigar back in the day, so that the one I am looking forward to the most.
Interesting... With Lulu and Teemo already in the game I thought that Bandle City would be off the table and that the yordels would just be added wherever. Instead, I guess we'll just have to see where the champions from Ixtal get added.
Regardless, I'm super excited to check out the new lab!
It's strange that so many people wroth off Bandle city because Lulu and Teemo are already in the game. Malphite is from Ixtal and he's already in a the game, Rek'sai is from the Void and she already in the game.
That's true. I'd already written off the Void, but I didn't realize Malphite was from Ixtal. I guess I just assumed Ixtal would be the last region.
I'm not complaining at all. I think Bandle City has the potential to be a lot of fun. I was just surprised.
