ConcernedApe is on a roll! After giving us a brand new screenshot for his upcoming Haunted Chocolatier earlier this month, we've now got a teaser for something we should be able to play much sooner - Stardew's 1.6 update!

We first got word of the 1.6 update back in April of this year with a tweet confirming its existence and stating it would primarily by changes for modders, but we could expect new content as well. The update must be nearing completion with us getting a peek at the details. Here's what ConcernedApe says we can expect out of the 1.6 update:

  • A new major festival.
  • Two new mini festivals.
  • New late-game content, which expands on each of the skill areas.
  • New items and crafting recipes.
  • Joja alternatives to some of the end-game quests.
  • 100+ new lines of dialogue.
  • Winter outfits for the villagers.
  • New type of reward for completing billboard requests.
  • (PC) support for 8-player multiplayer.
  • Many small additions and adjustments.
  • New farm type.
  • New secrets & more.

At the very least it looks like we've got a new Warp Totem being teased (where does this one go?), a Fish Duplicator of sorts, and delicious looking Purple Liquid in a Mug. Also, is that a QUIVER?

The update is still in development and ConcernedApe has not provided a release date for Stardew 1.6. Let's hope it's before the end of the year because we're getting closer to snowy season here in the northern hemisphere and there's nothing I'd love more than to hang out with the villagers while enjoying some new winter themes in-game and out of game.
