If you enjoyed seeing how well you performed each month alongside some silly stats from your region via an email from Blizzard, know that it will make a return!
Hearthstone Community Manager, Chris Sierra, was on Reddit this afternoon and mentioned in a thread that there is an issue preventing them from pulling these stats which is why the emails stopped. He wasn't able to provide an estimate on when they would return, only that we the team plans on bringing them back.
I don't know about you, but I certainly am looking forward to finding out that we defeated the Hero version of Dr. Boom 404,981 times back in June of last year. If there's a hero to hate, that's the one! Maybe when they make a return they'll post a blog with those same stats instead of just a few that are cherry-picked for each of us.

There is an issue that is preventing the stats from being pulled correctly. We plan on bringing these back but no specific ETA on that. Stay tuned!

What is this? I have been playing since launch and never seen anything like this? What is this email from Blizzard they are talking about?
For a period of time, on the season reset every month Blizzard would send an email with statistics about your most played class, the class with the highest winrate, your most frequent opponents, your best and worst matchups, etc and sometimes some silly ones too. They were fun little things but largely inconsequential, and they had discontinued them for a long time. I think you need to opt into emails from Blizzard to see them, otherwise you can't. The most recent one I have is from before Saviour of Uldum.
What happened to the Weekly Meta update?
Targus, who used to do these, left the Content team. And we haven't found someone who would take up that mantle yet.
I didn't know that this was ever a thing, but it would be cool for me to see if it ever comes back.

It wasn't any new information for anyone already using a decktracker, but every now and then, they would give you a really - specific & narrow, yet -flattering portrait of the season: Your win rate, 100%, against Mage with Rogue on Ladder, Eliminated 32 opponents out of Arena from 12 different countries - or something like that

I REALLY miss them. They did not tell much, but I'd love to see them. Would've been awesome to have that the season I got to legend... I guess I'll have to try it again when the emails return.
Now that's a great goal idea! Would be nice to have that immortalized in an email that also tells you about how many Murlocs were played that month. =D
