New Paladin Minion - Balloon Merchant

The viability of this card will be defined by how well Paladins can spam Silver Hand Recruits.  Historically, it took shit like Genn or Baku to really push Dude-a-din, but I think with one more AoE buff and one more Recruit summoner, Dude-a-din could make a solid return.

Maybe just maybe... but personally I don't see dudeadin yet...

Its just a good play from turn 3 to 4 with Day at the Faire. But there needs to be more generators before this truly becomes a centerpiece. On its own, its not really bad, with vanilla stats on 4, unlike say Quartermaster

Can't envision Dude-adin being in Standard any time soon, and Even Paladin hasn't been good in Wild since the Call to Arms nerf. Dude-adin's viability in the coming months in Standard depends entirely on how much support THIS expansion brings it, so I'm not optimistic. 

Should Dude-adin and/or Even Paladin rise to the occasion, this will almost cetainly see play.

Not overly strong, might be annoying, but I can't wait to see the animation for this one.

It may not be viable in standard, but I love this flavor. I just picture a bunch of little soldiers waiting impatiently in line for a balloon.

That is wildly effective, and given the corrupted swarm of silver hands you can generate in standard too ... this has potential

I like It, Pally will get at least 2 more dudecards for sure that set.

Actually pally have Air Raid and the new corrupted card, but needs more support.

It's even paladin's newest toy.

The problem even paladin runs into is that if you run a deck based around silver hand recruits, you would typically spend as much mana as you can each turn to generate them, which means that while mana:recruits ratio is the same for odd and even, odd has the ability to summon twice as many recruits per turn.

This card isn't really enough to change that, and I don't think that this will see much play.

I don't quite understand how balloons give +1 Attack and Divine Shield :D

This card makes me wonder if Dude-Paladin could be a thing next expansion ... we will see.

I feel the thing Dude Paladin needs the most is something that benefits from dudes fighting or dying. That being said, this card is still very interesting in that it corrupts Day at the Faire while it prefers a corrupted Day at the Faire for optimal synergy.

well that's the dude synergy we needed for Day at the Faire to make sense great card!

It's been a while since we saw some good dude synergy, nice! Someone to try it out in Wild Even Paladin? Hopefully we'll see some more dude cards than this and Day at the Faire.

Seems good with Day at the Faire, but it will need more support to become good. But i think we will see more support for Dude/token paladin. Also.. YES IT'S NOT ODD COSTED! WHOOOO!

Standard: Might be usefull in pure paladin, and broom paladin. Balloon Merchant + Day at the Faire & Animated Broomstick is a decent board clear and gives you a decent board. This card has a lot of potential.

Wild: Won't see much play. It's LUCKELY not ODD Costed, so ODD Paladin can't use it. Maybe Dude/token Paladin might use it? (Even though it's not that good of a deck.)

This is fantastic to drop right after Day at the Faire. Silver Hand Paladin has always been a fun deck, and access to reasonable divine shields has often been a big part of its success (since those little 1/1s are so vulnerable to AOE). So, I'm excited for Balloon Merchant - seems like it could be the card that makes that archetype viable in Standard.

I think this will definitely be good in any deck that can keep a decent number of silver hand recruit tokens on the field. The issue is that most decks that revolve around silver hand recruits are odd. So I don't know if this will end up seeing play.

I am looking forward to playing this in Wild.  Even Paladin had a very short lived stint and it made me sad.  This could help give it some life. 

As for Standard, a "Dude" Paladin may be viable, but not as the main kill focus.  I can see this being more of something to make the opponent HAVE to deal with little guys until the big swing turn drops. 

Thank god it's not odd, because of Odd paladin in wild.

Kinda useless when you have lothraxion already down, but beforehand it can be used.  And I guess giving +1 attack isn't the worst thing, or if they lost divine sheild.

Solid stats and good effect but cmon blizzard dont bring back silver hand paladin

Having seen all of the cards for the expansion, there isn't much to take advantage of the divine shields as, at the end of the day, the SHRs only become 2/1s with divine shield. There isn't a Quartermaster or Level Up! to take substantial advantage of a wide SHR board.

Will be nice to see dude paladin in standard. 

At least it's not Odd, but pity it only buffs Silver Hand Recruits which might be harder to pull off in standard.

One arms men, but here's a shield as well? Maybe dude paladin will make a comeback in standard.

This is a decent Tempo play for a Dude Paladin deck that expects to be ahead on board more often than not. Just the threat of it makes each and every SHR a must-kill in most matchups. Dude Paladin will probably be all right, and this is unlikely to see play in any other archetype.

Paladin seems set to be able to spam out a decent number of Recruits, so this seems good. I'm more excited to mess around with it in Wild with as many other Silver Hand cards as possible.

It has good stats so it could work in a token deck. Time will tell if that becomes a thing, though
