New Druid Minion - Deviate Dreadfang

Eh, with Living Seed and the new Taunt guy you could potentially build a deck specifically designed around getting this out as fast as possible and using it to just take the board and not let go of it, but Druid relies way too much on Guardian Animals at this point to ever drop those so I don't see it happening.

In Alignment Druid however this is basically just your instant win play if you pair it with Anacondra.

Probably gonna have to wait for Druid to get more big draw cards before anything happens with this though.

Although with the Exotic Mountseller rush minions were among the best ones you could get, getting an occasional Bloated Python, King Mukla, or even a Silverback Patriarch was also really helpful for stickiness, bulkiness and defense. The fact that this more expensive Mountseller only gives you 4/2 rushers makes it a lot easier for your opponent to play around. Meaning this beast tag on this Deviate Dreadfang has to do wonders if it wants to be as good as the mountseller.

9 hp and cool effect. It's expensive but druid doesn't care when he can cheat mana or ramp. Annoying card that needs to be removed by the oponent.

Alright i'm going to probably be a bit too pre-mature with this, but it's a good/balanced 5/5 star card. 

It's most of the time a better Exotic Mountseller, because you almost always prefered to get the rush minions from Exotic Mountseller. The only time Exotic Mountseller is better is if you want a more sticky board of minions, considering 2 health isn't that hard to remove. 

I think it will 100% see play in 3 druid decks in standard. First one is some kind of beast/taunt druid deck, because it synergizes well with Fangbound Druid. But i don't see that deck being that competative. 

In standard, the 2 real decks it will fit in are Celestial Alignment Druid because it can setup a board that's hard to deal with, AND most importantly Deviate Dreadfang druid. Yes it's own deck. It would function just like Exotic Mountseller druid worked before Exotic Mountseller rotated. I'm really wondering how good that deck will be now that it's back, and how well it will function in the meta. I'm personally thinking it will be probably a mid-high tier 2 deck, or worst case scenario at the bottom of tier 2.

In wild i don't think it sees play. Celestial Alignment druid is currently an OTK deck, and with Lady Anacondra it seems really strong. Who needs Deviate Dreadfang when you can OTK your opponent? Oh and obviously it won't see play in other OTK druid decks and Token Druid, which are the most common druid decks. Also Hadronox druid will NEVER use it because it's a beast and messes up Witching Hour.

It should be obvious that this wasn't aiming for wild, but for posterity;

This card is at 8 mana, which means that anything you could do with this relating to spamming spells could instead be done with malygos and friends. Winning the game is a lot better than clearing the board.

Exotic Mountseller was good, I expect this to be as well. Despite it being only nature spells and more expensive (new card discounts it though). This will still see play and be strong. May need a few more nature spells but it will take off.

Play this for 6 mana after Fangbound Druid's deathrattle hits it, after playing Lady Anacondra last turn to discount your nature spells. Also ramp to 10 mana by turn 6.

This is just an insane build around card. Living Seed (Rank 1) and Fangbound Druid can easily get this card out quickly and proceed to wreak any deck, and there's a decent chance druid doesn't even need to rely on overgrowth to clinch the win.

So its Exotic Mountseller strats. Play a load of cheap spells (because every spell in druid is a nature spell for some reason), with Ironbark and Bogbeam basically makes a giant minion that needs to die or you lose.

I look forward to the time when team5 starts looking at all the druid cards and realise what a mess they are making because it seems like we have to constantly print broken cards for druid to see any new archetypes at all.

Well if this gets discounted with for example the guy who makes taunt minions cheaper or in some other way then yeah, this card can be freakin strong.

Or if you ramp fast enough but on it`s own without cheating this out earlier i think it will be to slow.

I’d like to say its too slow to see play. By the time this comes out, Druid is either already dead or playing a deck that would annihilate any other game plan

I think this is weak, at 8 mana the impact is low and even if you play 2 nature spells at that point the 4/2 should be able to be removed.
Maybe good against an aggro or midrange deck, but if you got to that point there are other options to win the game.

It has enough health that it could probably survive a turn if you played it without taking advantage of the effect. It feels like it wants to be comboed out with the legendary on consecutive turns. It still feels rather slow.

More expensive Mountseller. It's only 1 mana, but I think it's enough that this doesn't get played.

It's basically like an Exotic Mountseller? But it costs more mana, only triggers on Nature spells, has 1 more health, and always summons a good minion. I think this definitely has the chance to make the cut
