Amazing in ANY kind of BIG deck, except BIG priest in wild. (Thank yogg)
Big warrior might use it, after all that deck sometimes has some mana problems in the late game. (I have lots of experience with this. There are so many times i can't play a big minion + removal spell in one turn...) Big Paladin might maybe return with this card? Big DH will 100% use it.
As someone who loves big/control decks, it seems like team Alliance is a easy pick for me! :)
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
This will be a staple in almost all Control decks, but is outclassed by Drek'Thar as it is right now.
You absolutely need something this strong if you're playing a Big deck in a Questline world.
Most classes have plenty of spells they want to play in the early game, so the deckbuilding requirement is barely noticeable.
Eeeeew. Cheating out big minions. This seems ripe for a Big Something deck. A fun build around card, which I didn't read the text and took the other one. Kinda have buyers remorse now.
Chumbawumba is the worst band name.
Don't worry, you'll be able to get a golden copy of the card after completing the legendary quests once the expansion launches. Eventually you'll have both cards, just that you'll only be able to play with Vanndar way later.

Its basically a card for big decks, so you can cheat out an 8 drop on turn 5, assuming you dont mind running this card as the only small minion in the deck itself.
Big demonlock, big dhunter, or just plain big deck will find plenty of use for this. In fact, being a neutral means you can make any big deck work, or maybe cheat out a few key combo pieces like Mozaki, Master Duelist or even Sanctum Chandler for a really big turn.
In a way, there's also avenue for this to do something unintended, since its basically a battlecry. If you can get all your small minions out, then you can still get this work. Or in a roundabout way, make this cheaper so it'll work with minions cheaper than 4. Its not impossible, and fairly game breaking if you pull it off.

FOR THE ALLIANCE! Sadly mainly seems like a meme card, but a good one for people who like dropping the big dudes.
I like him a lot and I want him to work, but it looks like it will be difficult.
Either way I'm ready to go all in on Big Demon Hunter, Warlock and Druid. I have over 60k dust, I will make this work or die trying.

Arena: Unless you're towards the end of your deck it's practically impossible to make use of this battlecry.
Constructed: I find it hard to envision which deck is able to use this optimally, but I'm sure I desperately want to believe it exists. I don't think it's Big Priest as they prefer to cheat out their minions differently and don't want to resurrect Vanndar Stormpike. Certainly not a card for your average deck, but has the potential to be extremely powerful when used optimally.
Arena > Wild > Standard
Hilariously bad in Arena I agree. In wild I wish this was strong enough to make work in a deck with Duel and Call to Adventure bc those are such fun to play but whom are we trying to kid? Get rdy to die to the demon pit of predictable decks there with this. In standard? Rly doubt it but will be tons of fun. Inconsistent.. weirdo... Fun....

Not the better of the two free legendary cards, but certainly the sweeter of the two.
This will certainly be good in any deck with a high curve. I chose the other one, but at least I'll eventually be guaranteed a copy of this one as well. Maybe even a diamond copy.
I picked Vanndar, and I'm having a blast so far. His discount creates some very powerful swings in all sorts of decks, and I'm sure the new expansion will give even more big minions for him to work with.

Well, after looking at all the awesome big minion decks being invented, I'm kinda wanting to play with vanndar now. Think if I remember correctly, we get both vanndar and Drek'thar at the end of the faction questlines once the expansion launches, but could be wrong.
Regardless, pretty cool thematic flavor for both legendries.

Looking at this card makes me regrett being Horde player. I've already knew that Vanndar will be better of the two but went with red flag. Should've gone blue this one time.
Tsk tsk. Shoulda gone with the sweeter card. :) Anything that enables control is definitely the 'more fun' of the two

I didn't choose this one, but I hope he turns out to be more common than Drek'thar. If only for the fact that it means the pace of the game is slowing down. I think some of the big archetypes out there might be fun to play so hopefully I unlock him soon or open him in a pack.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
Actually hard to place in some Big decks like Paladin or Warrior which want bigger bodies to pull out of Commencement or the like, but nevertheless very valuable for decks that naturally plays high-costed minions. Any spell that draws lowest cost minion (oh hi Call to Adventure) could potentially break this card, but ultimately I think the decks themselves will be too highrolly being dependent on drawing Vanndar to work.

Played against a few decks using this now and I've got to say it's really fun when it works. Once they start getting refined this could be a real threat.

Great card which enables big minion decks. I had to pick Drek'Thar though, simply because: FOR THE HORDE!!!
A good control tool, but I can't imagine it being that useful in such aggro-heavy metas.
