Could be really good in Quest Hunter. It effectively means that if you get this in your opening hand with a bunch of other smaller spells you can turbo your Quest extremely efficiently while conserving ressources that will allow you to just end the game after Tavish drops.
Quest Hunter needed some support in Standard but I fear this + Howl is too much. It's a deck that thrives on just dumpstering board-based strategies that don't have explosive board swings and it's only slightly more fair than Quest Mage.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
This card has potential beyond the obvious quest hunter deck. What this card does is practically allow you to ping for 2 mana without losing any cards in hand, and that is not something that can be ignored for a class that usually plays aggro. Since it also allows you to hit face, its not really a loss in terms of aggression, so there's a rare flexibility there.
In quest hunter, this card is just too good not to be included. Quest hunter often loses steam early, so even a simple honor kill from this card is invaluable. Still dont think its going to be enough to make quest hunter more than tier 2, but the option is certainly there, and better off with it.
Really bad card if your opponent plays around it, however this might be THE card Defend the Dwarven District needed to become viable in standard. And if it becomes viable... oh boy... Standard players beware, for us wild players know very well how bad it feels to play against a Defend the Dwarven District deck. Luckely Dragonbane Shot is 2 mana, which means it might now speed the deck up in standard too much, which means you hopefully can Mutanus the Devourer their quest reward.
And in wild thank YOGG it's EVEN costed, i think all of us wild players (Except the Defend the Dwarven District players) can agree that we don't want to see that deck return to the same powerlevel as before.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
In a standard meta that is flooded with low health minions, this is going to be a must include card for any Hunter build. The efficiency of doing 2 damage to ANY target and the potential to keep getting them in your hand is just too good to not include.

I don't think it will be too difficult to find a 2 health target for this.
