Its good, but not as good as Twinbow Terrorcoil.
The only thing this card can hope for is being in a hunter combo deck, where you can copy this card and then blow your opponent up with a few spells. Perhaps there's enough incentive here to go for kazakusan hunter. Just get ancient reflections and instantly win the game. There are naga tutors available after all.
But judging from the hunter cards revealed so far there's a good chance we'll see more support for some sort of spell or combo hunter. As long as there's easy ways to copy this card that can definitely happen.
Its likely not quest hunter support. Just want to bring this up real quick.
People will complaint with that card.
Naga face hunter will be a thing.

Okay WTF is this card. How is this ONLY 2 mana? This is insane. Their already giving hunter a Twinbow Terrorcoil into Aimed Shot + heropower for 12 damage combo that can come out as early as turn 5. And now their ADDITIONALLY giving hunters THIS. Sure a bunch of spells are rotating, but this is still incredably powerfull. I thought they said they were going to make the game more board based again, but it looks like Hunter will be even less interactive than before. This card is just a must-include in every hunter deck. It can also help Secret hunter pop off, because you can turn secrets into FACE dmg.
Also considering they showed us these spell syngergy spells, i wouldn't be surprised if they print a bunch of spells.. Everyone "welcome" our Defend the Dwarven District overlords... even though Defend the Dwarven District might be too slow for this new deck...
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
I don't know why we're printing unconditional spell damage for the class known to be extremely efficient at just killing you? Does nobody rememebr Altruis the Outcast? That fucker had to be nerfed to 4-mana and still often ended up dealing 5-6 damage in a single turn. This can deal up to 8-damage the turn it's played. Like, fucking hell, Quest Hunter did not need more reach, it already ends games at turn 7.
I mean I was just thinking that maybe Quest Hunter won't be oppressive post rotation because without Slate it can't deal with big minions without having to spend burn damage, but nope, here's this fucker to give you all the extra damage you might be missing and you don't even need burn spells for it.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Today's Questline Hunter probably wouldn't use this because of how few slots they have for minions (most lists just run Barak Kodobane, Multicaster, and Wandmaker - 5 minions that all draw or generate more spells).
That said, rotation could change the deck a lot, so I think it's worth reserving judgement a bit. Specifically, Overwhelm and Bola Shot are rotating out, while many of the other cards key come from the Core Set (Arcane Shot, Tracking, Explosive Trap, Quick Shot). Depending on what sticks around in the new Core Set 2022, this deck could actually want more spell-synergy minions.
I like this one. Good addition for Face Hunter and also very good for Questline Hunter i guess !!

Yep, this will be going in Questline Hunter. If I remember correctly, this kind of thing is always based on the base cost. I'm never certain about that.
This legendary minion will be a menace during it's entire time in standard. Every expansion a good hunter spell gets printed, this guy will become even more powerful. I'd imagine quite a few OTK hunter decks forming due to this terror. Quest hunter is an obvious archetype where this minion can slot in, but maybe a naga/spell focused OTK hunter could rise from the sea depths

This minion could very easily make Quest Hunter and Face Hunter a lot better at finishing off their opponents. I imagine that we will see this card, and that we could very likely get tired of seeing this card and that eventually we might even see this card get nerfed to 3 mana. Yeah, I'm not optimistic for the meta's chances against a Quest Hunter that can deal even more damage once Tavish has come down.

The only saving grace here is that it can only slowly chip away your HP per turn, and that you can only have one per decklist, but I can already foresee how this will nourish the salt tread

I can see this card being included in quest Hunter. It seems like a very nice addition to that deck, adding a little more face damage!
