New Demon Hunter Minion - Xhilag of the Abyss

So one question is: Do the appendages die if the main body does? If not this could be really insane if you can cheat it out early with something like Sigil of Reckoning. Actually playing it on curve seems kind of bad though. It's literally just a worse Priestess of Fury with slightly more stats, but they're spread out so it's relatively vulnerable to AoE. If you get the tentacles to stick though...oh boy, that's gonna hurt. I want to like it but minions that have to wait a turn to really scale rarely make the cut.

This does beg the question though, since Colossal triggers even on summon, does it work with Caria Felsoul?

This seems really good. In Token DH it might see play because it summons a bunch of minions. (duh) But i do wonder if it still summons the appendages when it's summoned by Sigil of Reckoning or when Caria Felsoul turns into Xhilag of the Abyss. If these interactions do actually summon the appendages, then i'm sure Xhilag of the Abyss will see a lot of play in multiple DH decks. (Very flexible)

If it does not work like that, then it will be a lot worse. But even then, you can get a copy of this with Ambassador Faelin which sounds fun.

Forget about this minion sticking. Its just never going to. Because if for some reason it did then you're already winning or your opponent just won. The only relevant question is asking how to cheat this out, or what you can do with at least 2 tentacles left on your next turn.

You can cheat it out via Raging Felscreamer (assuming its in core), Sigil of Reckoning, or Caria Felsoul. All three options saves 1-2 mana. But by the same token, all of them also cheapens the more deadly Illidari Inquisitor (assuming its still in core) as well...so just pray hard inquisitor gets booted out of standard I guess?

Expecting some tentacles sticking is fair and is also significant because hero kurtrus easily curves into this minion, and the tentacles can attack, on top of their end of turn damage. That's basically saving Xhilag from being unplayable right now.

This is a good minion of which many forms of dhunter can take advantage of. Just dont expect this card to set the world on fire...unless team5 have something to synergize with this down the reveal line.

Have to look up how colossal works again but this looks nice! 

If the stalks had a little more health, this would be disgusting.  If they didn't have attack, but took that point and put it into Health, this would make it a very viable option since DH attacks and doesn't necessarily rely on minions to damage.

I find colossal cards hard to evaluate in a vacuum, but they seems fun and impressive.
Can't wait to see how this one plays out!

Well, the stalks will be very vulnerable to board clears. I guess 7 mana for 7/14 worth of stats, and at least 4 randomly distributed damage is really damn good. It will be nice if the opponent's board is empty so it can all go face. Speaking of empty boards, I assume if there isn't enough room for all of them, these colossal minions will just summon tokens until the board is full.

This being a Demon makes it a very interesting proposition. I'm not sure what happens if Caria Felsoul copies it (does copying it trigger the Colossal?), but I'm certainly willing to try it and find out. It can protect itself, and if your opponent can't deal with it it will get out of hand very quickly. If you commit the rest of your deck to either cheating it out or protecting it, this could be a one card win condition.

The tentacles are the best part, if you manage to increase their stats this could make a dangerous snowball

This feels like a win more card.  If your opponent can't clear a few two health minions, they're already in a bad spot by turn 7.  Not confident on this one

Doesn't excite me that much, and it's very unlikely that the stalks will do more than 1 damage each, either by the opponent clearing them off or by killing the main body.

By far the most amazing card of the whole set! This guy is just adorable, and I certainly hope that he'll see play. Day 1 golden craft for sure!

If I Proving Grounds this, does his body hit the other minion or one of his tentacles does?
