Unlike most other locations, this requires an additional mana cost after playing it, as you need a target to transform.
That being said, Unholy shouldn't struggle with that so this might be really good, even if 3-mana is a steep cost for a tempo deck.
Perhaps Blood could use it as well as an early tool to contest the board
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
There's potential here for a deathrattle deck, because this card is essentially a deathrattle trigger that also puts tempo on board.
The only problem is obviously the fact that its 3 mana, and takes up a board slot, which to most decks that want to play this might not be able to afford giving up. And of course, you'll need to sack one of your own stuff to get that 4/5 minion.
I think its mostly going to be played as a deathrattle trigger, because unless eggs are back on the menu its unlikely to ever work as a purely tempo card.
This is a STRONG inclusion in a bunch of DK decks. This is a WAY better Dark Transformation with NO rune cost. Let me just compare these real quick:
Dark Transformation: TRANSFORMS a UNDEAD minion, so no synergy with deathrattles but it does only cost 2 mana. Additionally you need 1 unholy rune in order to use this card.
Construct Quarter: DESTROYS a FRIENDLY minion so no undead requirement, gives you a corpse because of the destroy effect + has deathrattle synergy, costs only 1 more mana than Dark Transformation and has NO rune requirement. And of course it's a location with 3 uses.
I can see this being a strong inclusion in Blood DK decks because it allows them to turn minions like Hematurge into a 4/5 with rush. Frost DK might not use this though. Some Unholy DK decks will probably experiment with this though, and i'm guessing it probably will make the cut in some lists.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
