I'm not so worried, in Standard at least. Without Patches the Pirate and N'Zoth's First Mate a Pirate Warrior will have a slower start. At the same time, we now have rush minions as removal, so it's harder for the Warrior to deal repeated damage with the pirates.
in standard there's only about...8 pirates that Warrior can access (at the time of this reveal, 9). It might have a home in a mid-range quest warrior deck, since one of their biggest weaknesses was card draw, but I need to see more pirates
How many pirates would you need in a deck to make this card playable? My estimate is that even with 5 pirates, it would be worthwhile, since most of the time you'd draw at least 2.
So if you include Captain Greenskin (which is already in my Quest Warrior deck) and two Dread Corsair (which I dropped but is not terrible in the deck), you only need one good additional pirate that you can include two copies of.
That could be an option. I was worried that it would fill up the board too quickly after quest completion when using Sul'thraze, but perhaps that doesn't happen often enough to matter. Having a few extra 1/1s early game is really useful.
A weapon that you can buff and go face whilst simultaneously drawing threats to throw on board for extra damage? This could be strong enough to bring back Pirate Warrior.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who would hate to see a resurgence of pirate warrior. That deck was very high-rolly depending on your draws, and this would help that. However, not a powerful weapon in itself.
I get all the hype for wild pirates and I will try it for sure, but even drawing 3 cards may not be enough to compensate for the loss in tempo the turn its played and not being able to play stronger weapons for 3 turns.
Smorc! Pirate Warrior for Wild got an excellent addition. For standard I don't see a viable deck yet. Maybe an aggro deck with Galakrond with Pirates and charge minions.
Not in the current standard meta. Its just doesn't do enough in a class with some many other good weapons like Livewire Lance and Wrenchcalibur. Being a legendary doesn't help with consistency either.
There's not many pirates to tutor in the current standard. Maybe in coming expansions, but I just don't see this weapon getting anywhere.
Seems like an odd archtype to get support - thought this would be in rogue where they actually have class specific pirates in standard. Feels like future expansions and wild. Would prefer something more relevant.
For standard there likely isn't going to be enough pirate synergy to make this weapon work. Maybe in a pirate tempo hybrid that runs Galakrond, the Unbreakable, but the current pool of pirate minions may not be enough to justify it.
Should be great for Arena and Wild, decent stats for such a powerful effect and it isn't too unlikely to draft a couple pirates.
Perhaps this is a hint of a future pirate themed expansion?
This Weapon can even draw more than 3 Pirates, since warrior has very solid ways to buff Weapons with Upgrade! and that 3/4 Pirate. Maybe this will turn Pirate Warrior into one of the top tier decks in Wild.

This...just doesn't look strong.

I guess you could throw in the shark fin fan? Since you're planning on attacking with this thing anyway, it's an additional 3/3 that draws a minion

Wild Pirate Warrior support. In standard there is just not enough strong pirates (yet).
Pirate warrior comeback??? Maybe, we'll have to see how many pirates will they add but this is already starting to be exciting.
Blizz is adding strong control and strong aggro cards so this meta could be very good.
This card is very good if it has support in form of pirates but otherwise its not that great considering it's 3 mana 2/3 weapon which is kinda bad.

Ahahahahahahahahahah Pirate Warrior in 2020.
Devs are trolling us!

Maybe it will work on wild, but if we are not getting more pirates on standard i don't see it having play at the moment

in wild with this pirate warrior just got a huge boost
draw 3 pirate, no more floating mana, thin out your deck to get your Arcanite Reaper , and Heroic Strike
