Quest Hakkar Warlock [SoU]

Hi everyone,

I came up with this whacky idea immediately after Supreme Archaeology was revealed and now, with all the new cards at our complete disposal, here's the list I made.

Your win condition consists of two key cards. Let's start from the first one: Hakkar, the Soulflayer. Spending 10 mana on a 9/6 is pretty bad. but fortunately you don't necessarily have to: just slam Fel Lord Betrug, play Plot Twist, clear the board and trigger Hakkar's Deathrattle at the end of the turn.

Once this step is completed, all you have left is making sure your opponent falls by his Corrupted Bloods, while you're chilling with a deck full of 0-costed legendary thanks to the second key card, Arch-Villain Rafaam, and Tome of Origination.

Plot Twist decks have always been weak against decks that put a lot of pressure in the early game, but fortunately for us Reno brought us Conjured Mirage, a 4 mana 3/10 with Taunt that should stop your opponents (or make them spend considerable resources on it) and then will return into your deck, ready to be drawn again as your quest completion progresses.

Yeah, the quest. Speaking of it, cards with Casts when Drawn should help, am I right? Portal Overfiend is a good choice then. Well statted, it makes your quest progress by 3 as the turns pass while putting stuff in play. Augmented Elekk doubles the number of Felhound Portals shuffle in your deck. I chose Portal Overfiend over his little brother Portal Keeper because you can't afford losing too much tempo in the early game and a 5/2 is not that good, especially when your alternative is Conjured Mirage.

Moreover, Portal Overfiend is a Demon, just like Aranasi Broodmother and Fel Lord Betrug: Wild players know very well how Sense Demons is good at drawing (quest completion detected) key cards in order to bend the game in a player's favor. 3 mana heal 4 and get an important card (on average) is pretty nice and it's also the reason why I decided to keep the Demon pool so little, cutting both Impbalming and Riftcleaver, despite being good cards for a slow Warlock deck.

While playing this deck, you'll usually find yourself with hand size issue, so... why not turning that in your favor? If you've recently played Standard you should have made acquaintance with Mountain Giant. an 8/8 on turn 4/5 is not that bad, especially if taunted up with Sunfury Protector in order to stop pesky aggro players.

I know by myself that this is not a super solid deck but hey, are you one of those who play tier 1 decks even during the first week of an expansion? I really hope not.

So give it a try and let me know your results!
