Monty Python's "Live at the Hollywood Bowl" is one of the very few videos I watch over and over throughout the years without ever getting tired of it. They perform this sketch just brilliantly there!
I don't see it as a removal tool that much. The biggest, most impactful dragons have more than 8 health, so Dragonmaw Poacher won't kill it.
As a tempo tool however... There are quite some small and medium-sized dragons now. And a 4 mana 8/8 that kills a minion and still sticks is pretty damn strong.
Thinking more about it, I guess you're right. As a relatively small body without immediate board impact, it's just too slow.It would probably be good as a cheaper spell that just summoned the eggs. But as it is, it's not as good as I first thought.I stand corrected.
If your opponent can immediately deal 5 damage once and 3 damage twice by turn 6, he's the one ahead and Nithogg is a good way to buy you some time, at least.
It's more likely that at least one of the three bodies survives, and that's pretty good value for 6 mana.
So, in a vacuum, this is a pretty good card. It just needs to be seen if there is enough dragon synergy in Shaman to make it work.
[Hearthstone Card (Vandar Stormpike) Not Found] makes this a 5 mana 8/8 with rush that leaves at least one 5/5 taunt. That's quite good, actually.
Vol’jin is extremely strong. This is going to get nerfed soon.
Exactly. And even if it doesn't kill your opponent, it leaves 4 3/5 to deal with.
It's expensive, but I can see this work.
Note/correction to Nagrand Slam: the summoned minions don't attack enemy minions, but enemies - including face!
I can very much see this as a finisher in a Kael'Thas deck.
To rank 10, I suppose? ;)
Hero power reads "Bite an enemy for 1 damage".
According to that other Hearthstone site, it should be 10am PT/1pm ET/19:00 CET/18:00 GMT
e: i.e. in roughly 4 hours from now

Much love for the reference!
There goes my hope someone would get the reference. Granted, it's a pretty old one.
Great. Now I feel old myself, again. ;(
What flavor is it?
Back to a place where combo Priest reigns supreme...
At least not for long.
Wow, didn't even think about quest Shaman :pog:
Yeah, that shouldn't be a battlecry. Maybe an aura would be better? "Has +4/+4 and Rush while your opponent controls a Dragon"?

The fact that this card makes you think about armor makes it a good print.
Yep. This card makes armor generation much less of a no-brainer than it is now.
My thoughts exactly.
This is a strong tech card against control Warrior/Druid/Paladin. No more, no less.
Good that there's finally a tech choice against armor. I'm getting more and more hyped for DoD!
I disagree.

Might be a good Arena card.
But in constructed, where every card you place in a deck has a specific function? Why would you ever play this?
