I've been enjoying this Brawl. I didn't realise how much I missed and how much you have to plan ahead. It's a little tactical but of course you need a massive slice of luck at times.
What a coincidence that the bug will be fixed just before the Pre orders for the next expansion go live. I've been having a really shit time with the Mobile App recently. Throw in all that shit with the GM and blitzchung and why do I feel like I'm being held to ransom? Or is my Tinfoil hat on too tight?
So many people saying they wanted a game that had slivers of MtG and Hearthstone and yet there has been one all along. Eternal.
It's a pity that a New and Shiny has taken some light away from an already established game that is extremely F2P friendly and has aspects from both aforementioned CCG's.
Not taking away from Runeterra, it looks amazing. I'd just be cautious. There's plenty of time for Riot to change things around. Don't forget that they want to make money from this. And the hype building up around this game is very reminiscent of Artifact. I know, I know it's a boring comparison already. But its just so similar. Many Streamers saying this is going to be brilliant, a few people who have played saying it's going to destroy Hearthstone, and people hanging onto the Hypetrain as it goes rattling along the tracks.
I hope Runeterra works out. I, like so many of you, would like a game to legitimately challenge Hearthstone's dominance of this particular little corner of the gaming market.
This is just a reminder that there are already some very good and established DCCG's out there.
I'm fully aware that this is probably neither the time or the place for these things to be bought up. But the comparisons are going to be made.
I am memeing around at the moment with a Renounce Deck that does quite well. It has some early game drops for pressure, some Lackey generation for value, removal cards and some healing. I tend to play Renounce fairly late on and it's currently 6-3.

I'm currently 3-1 with a Mage Deck in Arena. Doesn't sound like much to brag about right? The thing is, I suck at Arena. So bad. And this Mage deck is awful, sporting cards like Ornery Tortoise. But it's being hard carried by double Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron and Elise Starseeker.
They have saved my ass twice now, winning games I had no right to win. I want to apologise to my recent opponent, if you frequent this site, who had a brilliant Mech Paladin Deck but who got shafted out of a win after my Golden Monkey gave me a Reno Jackson that was active.
They can't nuke Circle Of Healing, what about that classic Archanai/Circle board clear? I'm all for a rework of Priest as I find that Priest has the worst Classic/Basic Set by far. But it might be hard to balance a complete rework with the cards that we have available now.
Looking at it though, a card like Penance for example, should probably have been in the Priests Classic or Basic Set from the beginning.
So maybe Blizzard have started a rework of Priest and that will come to a head with the Set Rotation in April?
Anyway, DS/Inner Fire combo should probably have been fixed a long time ago.

And you should feel ashamed telling people what they should craft or not. It's a good deck, always has been and always will be. That's why it gets shit on so often.

I've been on the receiving end of an Odd Paladin pulling a Sunkeeper Tarim out of thin air enough times to know its a massive pain in the ass. So if this change works as intended then it's amazing.
As for the Frightened Flunky train I'm glad I'll be seeing this less often now.
I'm more looking forward to Elise the Enlightened putting cards into your hand from Left to Right instead of some random hodgepodge of cards.
Oh I have. And this being 31500 Dust is on par at least. As for results? Mixed to terrible. I played it for 15 games and dropped to Rank 15. But at least I had fun dammit!
Then you can dust it for the 400, or 1600 if it's Golden. But yeah, I can attest to never dusting a Legendary card dude. I went through a phase of doing exactly that a few years ago and opened 4 Nat Pagles in a row. 😳
I'm glad they haven't totally nuked the card. It's still useful, even as a defensive card in a pinch. As the power levels in the game have slowly raised then having an 8/8 drop on Turn 3-4 isn't quite as frightening as it would have been 2-3 years ago.
And with the Nerf to Luna's Pocket Galaxy you will probably see more Mage players go back to this Combo. Which means you know what's coming and can Mulligan for it.
I already have them because I like the sense of completion. In that vein I'm one of many that would pay money or gold for Card Backs.

This stinks of Artifact. I hope it goes well though. I'm a fan of any kind of competition that tries something different.
Although Eternal and TesL currently vie for my Hearthstone pounds, and both of those are established and doing quite well.
If you mobile players out there want an experience closer to M:TG on mobile then I can't recommend Eternal enough.

As for the article it's good stuff. I like that it let's you in on the Deck Creation process and the thought pattern that goes with it.
Also it's nice to see a Mage Deck in Standard that isn't Highlander.

A lot of people forget that Inner Fire can be a defensive tool as well...

I spent a very amused 2 hours trying to get that OTK Paladin to work. It didn't. But I had a blast! 😅

Despite having all of them, and Yogg-Saron, Hope's End in Gold, I only tend to use The Great Yogg and N'Zoth, the Corruptor
But The Great Yogg gets my vote. I still haven't won the Lottery yet, but I keep kneeling at his alter none the less.
I am so trying both of these when I can. If a run a deck Purge and just use these two decks to Rank up in both formats I wonder where I'd end up? 🤔
