1 - Either horrible balance, doesn't work within the rules of competition, or little to no effort was put on displaying the card.
2 - Very plain design, unless the design space really is that restricted by the rules.
3 - Middle of the road, not much else to say.
4 - Has a lot of stuff going for it but feels under or over tuned on stats / effect.
5 - Flavor, great artwork for the card, something I could see being played in a variety of standard decks. Good balance.
Battlegrounds has been a refreshing addition, has constant updates (Including today). Don't really need the battlepass unless you want additional heroes to choose from at the start but meh. Right now there's only your rating and no rewards based on it so.
Tavern brawl is as it always was, mostly a 1 and done fiesta but hey free pack.
Standard is in a good state. Bit of variety and we'll see how much druid was hurt with the latest nerf on KT. For me personally, a little heavy on the aggro but its early.
It was stated at the end of competition 1.20 that you guys were looking at starting season 2 around the mid expansion time, are there any updates on a more specific date for it?
So what is really only the letter X or was it suppose to be the letters Ex as in excess or extra? Because the former doesn't seem to be rough to get into a card.
With how easy shaman's quest is to complete I always felt it should've been your next minions battlecry, not ALL of them for that turn.
There actually was quite a bit of story initially when they had the newsletter with stories going into more detail of the war between Noxus & Demacia along with all the other factions until they stopped. Now that I think about it I missed Nikasaur after she left because the community spotlight was great. Haven't touched LoL in years but was mostly attached to the flavor of characters from Piltover so perhaps I'll start off there.
Others may have had the same issue I've had to where even if you select the different portrait or set to favorite some of your preexisting decks will stay as they are for the portrait. The quick fix for me has been to just remake the deck with the new 1000 win portrait selected at the start and then it should be working fine, although the issue is something Blizzard will have to fix down the road.
Still would love to see an Western / Eastern Plaguelands with Stratholme and Scarlet Crusade cards.
They did have a "must interact with 0 attack minions" theme recently but it didn't have the pacifist idea along with it.
It goes in the order of which secrets were played. So if I play Mirror's Entity and then Potion of Polymorph I would get a copy of their minion and then their minion would turn into a 1/1 sheep. If you have it in reverse order for secrets then their minion turns into a 1/1 sheep and then you get a copy of the sheep.
Yea, Archivist and Harrison will be coming in as techs in my decks. The only disappointment so far is how many players forgot how to fight for board after a year of baku/genn and combo decks.
So far expansion has been fun as hell. Conjurer's Calling has been game busting so far. Turn 5 Khadgar into a Mountain Giant for a board of 4 7/8's with taunt has been so satisfying.
Just wondering how everybody else's fireside pack openings have gone so far. Here it was outta 131Kalecgos, Barista Lynchen, Archivist Elysiana, Chef Nomi, Keeper Stalladris, Scargil
24 epics total, 21 golden cards total.
Oh boy, that's a ton of late game.
Main rogue up until late into year of the mammoth / start of raven. A lot of the cards felt too memey and relied heavily on neutrals to carry the decks. Swapped over to warrior and mage. Will mostly play the 3 classes above with a side of shaman. For meta I don't think dragon warrior is going anywhere and will be reliable deck. Midrange hunter only lost a couple pieces but gained additional tools to fill the gap.Rogue will get played by a lot of people initially until everybody remembers it's hard to keep up with all the aggro decks that come with the start of the expansion
Amazing work as always gents.
Going to try my hardest to get windfury on Linecracker and toss this bad boy on board.
Damn, recent card contest I made a Dalaran librarian too. I could see somebody running this on that 3 mana 4/6 or whatever it was. These are the type of cards that get overlooked but then are abused later.
Plenty of fun ways to use this, love how they've played around with Mage's design since year of the raven.
And honestly, Stolen Steel became a lot better with the rotation so far. Imagine snagging Hunter's new spell damage weapon or warrior's Wrenchcalibur. Thinking of making a Stolen Steel x2, Deadly Poison x2, with Blink Fox and Underbelly for a start.
