It depends on the deck, but generally, I'd say yes. It is great, because it allows you to filter cards out of your deck, and find what you need based on the situation. Sure, sometimes you get hosed and you're forced to discard 2 good cards, but 90% of the time it's great.

E.g. I get to filter through my Unleash the Hounds in the warrior matchup, or maybe I can have a good chance of finding Leeroy Jenkins for lethal.

TLDR; It's generally a great card because of it's selection and ability to find you what you need based on the situation.

I play modern, standard, and occasionally draft. I play Grixis Death's Shadow in modern (if that wasn't obvious from my avatar), and some UW nill jank in standard.

And yes, I did draft MH1 yesterday! It was great, I drafted dimir ninjas and went 3-0, and pulling a foil Serra from my rewards packs! It was a blast, this is certainly one of my favorite limited formats.

Edit: I also play Temur Reclamation on Arena whenever I get free time, which isn't often because of school. (And finals are in a few days, so there won't be much magic for a while xD)

This site is sooo much faster than Hearthpwn. I do prefer Hearthpwn's brighter look but I guess that's a matter of preference (perhaps one feature to consider would be allowing users to choose from different options for site theme). Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see what improvements you have in store!

Yes this site is incomparably faster than hearthpwn! It makes browsing to much nicer!

I do kinda agree with the brighter look, but I really don't mind how it is rn tbh. Giving people the opinion to choose would definitely be the way to go, but I'm sure there are more important things to be added at the moment.

By now, everyone and their mother knows about hearthpwn's fate. So, most of us have migrated here, to out of cards.

At first, the site seemed mediocre at best; I was having trouble scrolling down and using some features, but it is getting better every day.

Keep it up, moderators, you guys are doing great. I hope this site grows to the size of hearthpwn, and beyond!

I almost like this site even more than hearthpwn, for a few reasons:

    1) No pop up ads. It has gotten so bad recently on hearthpwn, that I can barely do anything before I become a 'SUPER LUCKY WINNER!!!' You have no idea how good it feels to be able to browse forever on this site without stupid things coming up!

    2) works MUCH better on mobile. If I am ever using this site or hearthpwn, I am 99% of the time on my phone, whether I be on my commute, or just waiting for something to happen. On hearthpwn, once in a while, I would be looking at people's profiles out of pure curiousity, and I would accidentally hit the 'collection' button. See, my phone can't handle this massive collection being loaded, and I'd often have to close the tab because it would freeze trying to load the collection. Thank God there's no innkeeper on this site :)

Well I apologise for writing a book, but I really wanted to voice my opinion on this new site. Keep up the good work guys, and long live Out of Cards!

I agree that OoC is much better, but I’m not sure about mobile. Specifically trying to get to the forums, the drop down is too long and I can’t scroll without clicking on something else. I’m on an IPhone 6 so it’s not like I have a small or old phone.

That's actually true, I've been having trouble with that too, but I honestly don't really use that feature. I just look at recent forums most of the time. But still, I'd take this everyday over pop up ads every 5 seconds. (Literally, I'm not even kidding) I'd still argue that OoC is better on mobile than hearthpwn was.

Post count is right below your character! How can you miss that. Maybe because it is in grey?

I still don't see it on mobile. What do you mean below my character?

I've been playing since LoE release. I'm F2P. I've opened three:

    Deathwing

    Harrison Jones

    Da Undatakah

    I think that's pretty average.

Agreed. I'm loving this site so far, although there are still a few things they need to add, like Spoilers.

But I know they will add them eventually.

I agree. I would also like to see a post count like hearthpwn, as well as many other small things. But I assume that everything will be added because Flux wants "everything hearthpwn had and more"

Post count does exist, you have 7 <---- but it's not the most noticeable perhaps. Still much to be done in terms of user profile data but we'll get there =D

Oh I had no idea it existed... I guess I need to play around with the site a bit more. I'm excited to see what you guys will addadd!

(And 7 posts haha! Gonna have to build that back up again!)

Been coming here since it was Hearthstation and a much better place it is. Hopefully Flux and the other guys keep it clear and I'm sure it will be great. Especially out of the clutch of Curse.

Yeah! Curse really is a curse

This is honestly probably a good thing. Remember just a few months ago, before rotation, when everyone was complaining about the lack of anti-combo cards? Remember everyone wishing for a classic dirty rat? It's kind of nice to have a lack of combo for once, because believe me, it's only a matter of time before it becomes the best deck again. (And then there will be threads stating the opposite)

And don't get me wrong, I don't hate combo, hell I got my golden druid from the boomsday meta, but even I think that it's a good thing.

I honestly have to agree as well. There is a thread on hearthpwn about this topic too, but with the opposite argument in the OP.

Even though it makes the game less diverse, I often run out of deck building ideas, and the internet seems great in that situation.

I've been playing arena for a long time now. Still F2P, but I have multiple meta decks, and I am having a blast. You should definitely give it a try. As someone who's played MtG for probably six years now, it feels really good. It gives me some practice for FNM. :)

However, the game is still relatively new, and needs some features. (Friends, anyone?)

But overall, I would highly recommend getting into it.

As for resources, I'd say just find some beginner articles on  how to play and understand the game, and then just play it yourself. The best way to learn and get better is experience. Don't craft anything until you're sure you want to play it. Wild cards are precious. (Think, dust in Hearthstone)

And that's kinda it. If they do ever come out with a friend list, add me! I'll add my tag later when I get home. I'd be down to play with anyone also with the direct challange thing too.

I personally don't run him, and I am sitting in legend right now using bomb hunter. He isn't necessary, but I do think he's good. If you play him and he does nothing, you were bound to lose anyways. At worst, he is a dead rock in your hand in the earlier game. He is always game swinging when you can play him.
