Looks to be a solid Face Hunter card, since they do run a few decently-costed spells like Piercing Shot. It is not a Quest Hunter card, though, especially in Wild where Dragonbane does this card's job, but with more oomph.
The 'All' tag makes me think otherwise, since if the tag is on a too early of a Tier, we can have the OG Battlegrounds dilemma all over again, and the meta would again devolve into who gets the beefiest Amalgam the fastest.
Looks like a solid card to be added someday to Battlegrounds, actually. An amalgam with Primalfin Lookout attached sounds nice to be a new addition to the game mode.
I wouldn't sleep on this card just yet, because if anything akin to Youthful Brewmaster is in the new Core Set rotation, we might see a new version of Questline Warrior on our hands that is more control-focused, because you will be able to play more copies of Cap'n Rokara and thus generate immense value. Nellie is 3 Pirates in one on top a 2/6 Taunt body, leaving you with more card slots for control tools.
Oh right. If so, that is a welcome change, actually. Acolyte was the best unit to prevent taking chip damage at turns 1-2, and with it going up a Tier, those first two turns now get to be more of the mindgames that they usually are against players who didn't have Acolyte.
Oh well... rip Maexxna. Yes, she was part of "scam" builds, but damn did she serve a purpose of being a Poisonous unit for Beasts and as another one for everyone to use instead of the rather lackluster Spore. Also perplexed by the Acolyte buff.
I wonder if the Sunken Sweeper really is a collectible card, because if so, then ffs we are getting closer and closer to the "HS cards in 2030 be like" powerlevel.
EDIT: Nvm it is not collectible, but the reveal image tells you otherwise.
We should consider prizes for people who win our OOC tournaments. Perhaps they can win site Gold or other season currency, provided that they're not purchasable with real life currency? And then what format?
Wild Tournaments perhaps? I am sure the Wild community is craving to have their own esports scene develop, and would naturally cause content to pop out.
Damn these are insane nerfs to Wagtoggle and Baz'hial. Rip strats revolving around not levelling the Tavern, though Elder also broke some other heroes too when stolen.
I've become a pretty avid Duels player myself, since I can build solid QL Druid and Shaman decks for that mode and expand my collection by getting a few wins. I suppose you can count that as my additional source of power to create Kazakusan. ;}
How would Grey Sage Parrot work if you were to play a 5+ Cost spell that got its Cost reduced to (0) by Dragoncaster? Will the Parrot copy it, or does it check based on the spell's Cost during cast as opposed to the spell's printed Cost?
Greetings, everyone! It's been a while since I created some custom cards, be it for OOC contests or in general. However, inspired by the Fan Spotlight on Lazul in Duels and by the mini-thematic set of the upcoming mini-set, I decided to make my own Duels hero. Introducing Kazakusan!
Demon Hunter - Nothing's to change the class, but Razorglaive Sentinel could be relevant in the future, as it's Stargazer Luna on steroids.
Druid - I don't think these cards add anything to current Druid archetypes that make the class stand on its feet. MAYBE Boomkin in a more aggro Druid deck, but most aggro tools they have are token based, and Untapped Potential is too risky.
Hunter - Absolutely Dragonbane Shot in QL Hunter. Even-costed, but gives you a damaging spells that can refill itself akin to nerfed Rapid Fire. Furious Howl is some card draw, and Pet Collector... I am not sure if she fits Wild.
Mage - Drakefire Amulet is lowkey my guilty pleasure as one of the most meta-changing cards from this mini-set in Wild. With Dragoncaster, you can get a massive tempo swing of stats on board on turn 6, and while that is also when Snowfall Guardian comes online, Living Dragonbreath exists too. Then slap in Battleground Battlemaster and there you go. Rest is filler.
Paladin - Some OK tools for Aggro Paladin. Stormwind Avenger has the most potential, as she's sticky and scales with buffs on her, so she may help you push damage.
Priest - A tutor, Duskbreaker 2.0 and a new minion for Big/Quest/Reno Priest. Not bad, but we'll see if they can bring alternatives to Priest in Wild.
Rogue - Trash. MAYBE Tooth of Nefarian in fringe burn decks, since it can target face.
Shaman - They can already halt any board-based aggression with current cards at their disposal, but perhaps Bracing Cold in Big Shaman and Don't Stand in the Fire! in QL Shaman.
Warlock - Another class that won't benefit from new cards, maybe aside from Renolock and sometimes Evenlock with Impfestation as a control tool.
Warrior - Shoulder Check should be interesting, maybe even in PIrate Warrior for some oomph or better trading?
Neutral - Raid Boss Onyxia is too slow, but makes Amulet's pool better thanks to her having Rush. Kazakusan is also in a weird spot in Wild, but it's a dazzling card to play and experiment with in Reno decks and DMH Warrior. Rest is irrelevant.
Amulet looks fierce in Wild! A bit more variety in Dragon pool, but damn that can snowball in conjuction with Dragoncaster. Just tell me if it will be craftable and not locked behind the mini-set paywall.

Since the time I asked was over 3 weeks ago, I crafted the Parrots and saw them copy Amulet. But still thanks for reassurance.

EU here. I don't think I will be able to contribute before May, but this is the perfect place to showcase my format idea. Ignore my branding. :>

Impfestation is of Even cost, so perhaps it could be played in Evenlock.

This is a buff to Drakefire Amulet, giving you a decently sized Dragon as an option.
