so basically Jaraxxus, but except for a hero power you have to play a 6-mana minion.

    Sounds pointless tbh

You have a max Health of 30, you generate additional cards in hand, you are not susceptible to [Hearthstone Card (Scrificial Pack) Not Found] (for the sake of the argument)

Nice, I just posted about a somewhat similar interaction in Standard with Soulwarden. Your combo looks better, though :D

    That's what Dreadsteed could've been. :(

    Greetings!

I was just trying some Control Warlock ideas when I came across an infinite card generation mechanism by chance.

In my last game I played Expired Merchant, discarding Soulwarden (I run two in combination with The Soularium).

Since Expired Merchant actually discarded Soul Warden, the latter gives a Soul Warden copy when played, effectively replacing itself in hand.

As I run two Merchants (the second hitting Jumbo Imp), this resulted in a neverending story of 6/6s being played, each one giving me a new 6/6 and 8/8.

Still lost. :P (Taunt Warrior with Dr. Boom)

I had 4 Must-Craft-Golden Legendaries in RoS, but I didn't wait for the official release. Instead I opened the packs during pre-release and got all 4 of them, plain versions of course... Crafted 2 of them afterwards (Hagatha and Boom), but it had a bittersweet taste.

So yeah, gonna craft some golden legendaries before opening, most likely Zephrys the Great, Armagedillo and one or two quests.

I don't think the Lackey Warlock will take roots (at least with the current support).

Combo Priest will be the flavour of the first week (as with Nomi), but I suspect Deathrattle-Tempo Rogue being pretty strong. (As a new flavour, obviously the 'old' lackey rogue will be good as well)

Personally, I will try to establish a Control Warlock as the Quest as well as the Plague seem to be quite useful in this endeavour.

BUT: Usually there is at least one card in the last reveal stream that renders this prediction completely useless :D

Noone mentioned High Inquisitor Whitemane so far.

8 Mana, 2 cards: Twisting Nether on your opponent's side + trigger all your deathrattle/reborn minions.

Actually an interesting card in control/combo, when you're somewhat even on board.

(Same effect with Kel'Thuzad, although a turn later)

EDIT: Also Mad Summoner + this is a 2 card, 7 mana full boardclear (bar deathrattles); interacting with Jumbo Imp

Ok, then I actually missed the change.

Interestingly enough, there wasn't a refund back then. Otherwise I'd have know of this nerf. :D

    Thank you for the clarification!

Just curious about this (to me) unknown interaction:

I just noticed that Shudderwock actually behaves like Yogg-Saron, Hope's End, in that it stops its battlecry to very moment he dies.

Was that always the case? I did not know this interaction!

    The game situation in question:

The opponent had a Spider Bomb on board and it was killed by the fourth battlecry. There should've been at least a fifth one (Spellbreaker), although there were no minions on board left bar Shudderwock.

Got to kill Rag 6 times in total (just reached a new high score), at least once with every hero. (Like 60 wins in total, lost the first three runs, won everything after that)

It started with me wanting to beat the Rock with every Hero, now it's just for fun (surprised to say that to be frank ^^)

Lost three consecutive times with Bomb Warrior, only to do 5 playthroughs after that (All classes + Shaman for a second time - working for the card reveals!)

I found 3 that Hand of Rafaam is pretty neat for aggressive decks (as some opponents have autocast hps and can't get rid of them until turn 5), also 3 Boombots in the beginning is nice, and all the treasures that are OP anyway (draw 2 extra, cards cost half, etc)

    Fastest run is 27:14 bt

TLDR: 1.) Advertising a change to bombs (summoning minions instead of doing direct damage) 2.) Not directly implied, but: Bombs should do 3dmg 3.) Nerfing Bomb Warrior this way could nerf Big Priest in Wild (simultaneously nerfing two 1-2 tier decks) 4.) I do realize that there exist counters, but having only consistent counters that need 20+ min to win the game might not be healthy for the game overall

So yes, I'm passively ranting against Bomb Warrior and Big Priest since like two months. Ans YES, THIS THREAD MIGHT AS WELL BE IN SOME OF THOSE THREATS - BUT I want to discuss a solution and not the problem... (This is more about wild than standard, but hey there are some interactions that still concern standard players)

But first look at some problems/interactions with:

    1. Concerning Big Priest: If you're still looking for reasons to nerf this, well... (No, the deck is NOT OP, but contrary to other decks you win against aggro and control decks still have to invest time AND thought into beating you)
    2. Concerning Bomb Warrior: Hell yeah, a new theme in standard! However, bombs interact with: Reno Decks (adding additional cards of the same kind), Spell card draw (denies Far Sight, gets drawn by Spirit of the Frog), Spells overall ([Hearthstone Card (Dragons Fury) Not Found], Grand Archivist)
    3. But since they cast on draw, they DO NOT interact with cards like Zul'jin, Wild Pyromancer, etc (which is consistent in itself, I give you that)

My proposal to change (nerf/buff) this mechanic:

All bomb generating cards create a proxy card (for your opponent) that reads 'When drawn, summon a 1/1 bomb that deals 5 damage to your hero'. (I still do advertise the 3dmg bombs...)

Why would this be preferable? (Pros:)

    • It creates a consistent and bearable counter against Big Priest in Wild (yes, I do realize BP might not be the best deck but it is frustrating to play against from rank 50 to legend 1000+)
    • You do get a possibility to counter the bombs (Silence/Evolve)
    • Interesting interaction with token decks

    Cons:

    • Dr Boom needs to be reinvented
    • (Open for suggestions)

Just doing some trial and error on this:

Gets you 2 copies in hand/a copy on board and then polymorphs the opponents minion

Polymorphs the opponents minion and you get 2 sheeps in hand/ a sheep on board

You get your copy(ies), then ER triggers

Explosive Runes triggers, IF THE MINION SURVIVES you summon a copy (with 6HP missing), ELSE the secret doesn't trigger

Edit: Cards seem to work as intended, however it is neat to notice that they trigger in the order they are played (with the ensuing effects): Polymorph and Exploding Runes alter the board entering minion (like status effects) and are copied IF the copying secret (Clone/Mirror) is played after and the copied minion is summonable

As time goes on, we get additional secrets which accumulate in Wild, therefore creating some new (and sometimes frustrating) interactions...

As I was revisiting Wild with a Reno Mage today, I came across an interaction I was pretty sure (might as well be false mem(e)ory) didn't worked that way before:

    Secrets (in order played):

    1. Potion of Polymorph
    2. Frozen Clone

As the opponent played a minion, his minion got polymorphed and I got two Sheep. As I'm pretty sure this worked differently with Mirror Entity :

    1. Is this a bug/feature? (i.e. is this interaction as it was implemented in the first place)
    2. Are there other interesting interactions between secrets that are not apparent on first sight (like Misdirection and Freezing Trap)

Unfortunately, Swap doesn't equal Shuffle. But you can increase the number of Morrigans by Elek+PT when Morrigan is in hand. (Also with Betrug and Dorian as you draw and summon another copy)

    Greetings!

I've tried out several iterations on Dr. Morrigan lock and I feel like I have found a somewhat viable version (rank 10 atm, but from experience it would fare as well on rank 5). Feel free to critizise the card choices, almost a third of them are still floating.

My feeling is this is still a sleeper tier-3 deck ^^. At least it is fun and original, and from time to time that's what HS is all about, right?
