I'm glad I wasn't the only one having this experience. I'm sure some of it was my unfamiliarity with each deck, but I used to break even with him on day one. This time I lost eight games in a row before jumping over to casual. Even there I went 2-4.
This is going in lots of decks. Have him in your opening hand as a druid with the new Keleseth spell. Add in a panda for extra shenanigans. Obviously, the earlier it gets played the better the value.
If Dragon Hunter becomes a thing (please let it happen, I own an Emeriss) ooze tech will become mandatory. Someone help me remember, do Hunters have any weapon damage buffs? Just two or three extra swings with a damage buff will be big for going face.
Does "a copy" mean that it keeps buffs? I'm really trying to figure out when you would want this card over faceless manipulator. Maybe it is best as an earlier Mechanical Shredder type of minion with a nonrandom deathrattle.
I'm not sure on this one. On the surface it seems like a decent effect but I think it has too much health. The decks you want this to be effective against will be swarming type decks. Not many of them will have a single minion capable of sacrificing this against on one turn. You will often have to wait for the second turn after you play it to get the board clear. Playing on curve means your opponent gets turns 5 and 6 or 6 and 7 before worrying about it. That is right around where aggro wants to end the game anyway.
I'm giving any card with "discover a dragon" an automatic 4 stars. There are so many good dragons that will be available to choose from that you won't get many duds out of playing them. Having life steal on an early game minion will help against aggro as well. Good solid card.
I rated this card only 3 stars, but that is because not all classes will use it equally. Most people have already pointed out that this benefits Mage in trying to get the cyclone archetype going. Priest, Warrior, and Shaman might all get some decent use out of this. There are too many secrets and situational cards for Paladin to get consistent results from it. I wonder if the development of this card is what pushed Naturalize into the Hall of Fame.
Lackey cards are always going to be good and this one is extra fun. A solid body for the mana, some armor, and a lackey. Not a bad card. I see this one being a warrior staple in anything non-aggro for a while.
This is a card that everyone has been waiting for but now that we have it I don't know how much we need it. Maybe some wild decks will tech it in against the bees druid deck. Heal paladin isn't a big enough thing that we want to put it in all our decks. At least we will have it if any big armor decks come about in the future.
This has the possibility of being a niche tech card. As others have pointed out, bombs or Hakkar decks can be countered with this. Other than that, I only see this as having meme possibilities. I hope I open at least one just to goof around with it.
I don't see this in a token druid deck. The token summoner and generator cards won't benefit from this buff. I see it being used in some kind of big druid deck. If you are already running big cards adding one more mana for +2/+2 isn't too much of a drawback. Early ramp and spells to get to your big minions is the way to go with this deck style.
I like the concept of this card, but I just don't see it happening on a regular basis. It feels like it comes too late in the game to make enough treants benefit from the effect. It has a difficult body to deal with but I don't know if it brings enough to the table.
I've never bought a hero, but Sylvanas and this card back have made me seriously consider it.
This one gets props for the use of Smores. It is probably my favorite food themed card back.
