A little heads-up: event task 6 is bugged. I've completed it twice already, definitely triggering the appropriate number of deathrattles in the boss fight and still... no reward.
After reading into it a bit, I've found that the current advice seems to be to avoid nodes and boons (and potentially elite fights) on your climb. Yeah, it's this again.
I would have really loved it if they had addressed the matter of excess coins. Currently sitting on a maxed out Cariel Roame and coins still get dumped on her - around 280 I can never use already. The strangest thing is that I still get Cariel coins as bounty rewards even if she is not in the party and the bounty boss description says other Mercs' coins should be the reward. No idea why.
I really hope Blizzard introduces something to turn these excess coins into coins for other Mercs. After all, they wanted to create a "fairer" Gacha Game. This could be either some kind of exchange/shop or by staying in the vein of Gacha Games - a slot machine where you could gamble them away.
So I've been playing a Lady Prestor Deck with a Silence Priest Shell = overstatted minions with drawbacks like "can't attack" etc.
Works out as expected, all the Questline Decks in Wild Casual slaughter me. But this one game against a Pirate Warrior, where I manage to stick a Far Watch Post, slow the opponent down, get to play Prestor on curve and play a 2 Mana Ysera, Unleashed plus a Lorekeeper Polkelt on Turn 7, resulting in a full board of big dragons on the following turn - that was worth it.
Maybe I'm missing something but does the cost reduction really matter if you've already got 10 mana and can basically play everything you want? Sure, it fits in better if you also want to play something else on the turn you play the discounted beast and the tutor effect is nice. However, the other upgraded spells feel like their effect on each mana level fits better to the way the game is played at these levels like AOE growing stronger because there are bigger minions at later stages. This here doesn't feel that way.
I suspect part of that may be because it was so revolutionary when it was originally released but not so much now 30+ years later -- I find a lot of Alan Moore's work like that.)
While this is certainly true for some of his work, I find that the absolute standouts - Watchmen and FromHell - grow on every re-read for me.
My recommendations, if you're interested in crime comics at all, would be:
The work by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips, especially Sleeper (if you're more into superheroes) and the aptly titled Criminal - great characters, a dark mood and artwork that perfectly supports it
Darwyn Cooke's adaptions of Donald Westlake's Parker - hard-boiled anti-hero protagonist, absolutely stylish artwork
So, feeling safe with 15 Life behind all those 8/8 Taunts against my Thief Rogue, Mr Big Priest? Mass Dispel + Il'gynoth + my big Spectral Cutlass say you're dead.
Also, a lot of these basic gameplay achievements don't seem to work for me. Played a Galvadon Quest Pala in Casual Wild yesterday until fatigue against a Reno Priest. This means a whole lot of buff spells being cast by me.
Achievement: Cast paladin spells on friendly characters - progress: 0. How can this be? Won't this start until the launch of the new expansion? It's listed under Basic not under Darkmoon Faire.

Not sold on it.
Like Lundy said: play this on turn two and follow up with 3 one-drops. But if you curve out with a three-drop, four-drop, and so on it's pretty bad.
Also Imprisoned Felmaw immediately attacks, which this here doesn't.
Comparable to Gan'arg Glaivesmith which I don't see very often. No condition and one more health for one less attack.
A much better Benevolent Djinn.

Don't care if this is really good or not but I'm definitely going to build an "all minions are dinos" hunter deck in wild with this guy in it.

But that opponent with the 1,000 wins portrait and the legendary cardback who is rocking Secret Mage in Casual Wild - that one leaves me irritated.
