I know that the plan is to nerf standard cards, but I wish they would nerf Grey Sage Parrot in wild. Changing it to spells that cost 6 or more. The endless extra turn in wild quest mage is almost impossible to beat once they have the pieces. They can have 5 extra turns.
I look forward to playing against wild Celestial Alignment Druid with my highlander Quest Priest once the patch hits. I have lost way to many games when one reduces all my cards to 1 mana just before I play an 8 mana cost card and the quest becomes impossible.
I always get the paid pass. It ends up giving me a lot of extras, and about 2k-4k more gold than the free track. So it pays for itself. So far I have avoided buying pre releases of expansions up till Nathria. I just didnt play enough to get above 10k gold. I already have Maiev and wouldnt use Lazul over Tyrande for priest so its a pass on it.
I just hope that the pirate quest isnt reverted when it gets to wild. Before it was nerfed the first time it was nearly unbeatable in wild. Way to many cheap pirates in wild.
I seriously doubt that a set will have fewer cards. The 3 mini sets that the 4th set would replace total 105 cards, Blizzard would likely add 30 more cards to make a full set. As for how its going to save money, thats YOUR OPINION, and counts just as much as mine. Likely less because you have nothing to base it on. What I have based my opinion on is that Blizzard is a business, and as such is out to make money. They have proven time and time again that they like making money and want to continue to do that. You have absolutely nothing to base the "saving money" idea. Nothing would make me happier than to see cost reduction in HS. But wishing and hoping it will happen while looking back at what Blizzard has done in the past isnt realistic.
You might want to reread my comment where I said that was "very very conservative". $50 for a complete expansion is the absolute bottom cost that could possibly be charged. Its more likely to be $75-$100 to make up for lost sales of packs. Remember Blizzard is in business to make money. They would need to make up for all the mega bundles they would not sell.
I was being very very conservative at $200, its more likely to be in the $300-$400 price range to buy four full sets. As for spending that in a year, nope. The last year I spend about half that, only 2 mini sets, one wasnt worth it, and 3 paid rewards tracks for a total of $90.
If they went to 4 expansions in a year, it would cut the time between expansions from four to three months. That would shrink the available gold to buy packs by 1/4th. I usually buy the mini sets with cash, to enable me to use the gold to get main expansion packs. The problem is shifting from having $15 three times a year, which is easy, to $50 once a year for a pre purchase, which isnt as easy.
There is also the fact that when you pay for a mini set, you get all the cards for that set. Expansions are a different animal and it takes lots and lots of cash/gold to get even close to a complete set. Since they are lowering the amount of time, and in so doing the amount of gold possible, you will have less cards from each expansion.
4 expansions a year? I may give up on hearthstone if that happens, I am sure a lot of people will leave. Right now the mini sets can be bought as a set, thats tolerable. 4 expansions will make the game cost more, with less time to gather gold to buy packs.
Un'Goro was my first expansion, and it hooked me on Hearthstone. I hope the card reviles show that this expansion will have as many good cards as Un'Goro did.
I will agree that wild around diamond 5 has fewer types. You can tell just by playing. I think its more healthy than standard where it seems that way in every part of the ladder. Pirate warrior is a problem, it needs a big nerf hammer taken to it.
I have been playing Wild for some time now, so I wont miss anything. I do look forward to seeing what Blizzard creates to replace some of the functionality of the rotating cards.
I have been running a version of this quest, and this deck looks good. I likely would replace a 2 and a 3 for another 7 and 8. The purpose is to get the shard quickly before dying in wild.

A couple of years ago I got a free arena ticket. I just keep using it to get a free pack every time the arena rotates.

While not game breaking, seeing the same "new" cards 8 times after clearing them, without adding any, is just nuts.
