Honestly wouldn't mind seeing Zilliax moved to standard at some point. It is one of the most flexible and best balanced cards in the game. I have lost many games because my opponent used one, but I can honestly say it has never felt oppressive or overpowered. It is a good tool and makes the game much more interesting.

Please no. Azure Drake never felt oppressive or overpowered, but it was basically in every deck in all metas. Glad it's not anymore.

Might have to bring this back for a wild Yogg-Puzzle box deck and see if anyone notices

I feel it should be pointed out that obviously Zilliax is a neutral and with neutral minions you run that delicate balance between good or decent and ran in most decks and just not cutting it, resulting in it not being played in almost any decks.

Also keep it mind Zilliax makes classes with little to no class healing to be a more bearable match-up against aggro decks. Do we want aggro more painful to queue into?

I think part of the problem is that HS has way too many neutral cards compared to class cards (compared to MTG for example, which has very few colorless cards compared to colored cards). By rough count, Uldum has about 45 neutral cards and 90 class cards (10 per class), so 1/3 of the set is neutral. And when making a new deck for a class in Uldum, you have 4.5 times as many neutrals to choose from as class cards. This makes the risk WAY higher that certain cards will appear in a high percentage of decks. IMO, neutrals should be limited to tech cards, niche cards and filler. Zilliax has too many uses.

Personally, I find it rare that I don't have an answer for an early giant, whether its aggro with a bunch of minions, or control/mid with a spell or combo. Most of the time, its the turn 6-7 giant-conjurer combo that gets me, and this nerf delays it by a turn and also, with luna nerf, makes double-conjurer turns way less likely. I'm fine with this.

Please downvote my OP some more. I'd like to get to -50.

This might be my favorite brawl of all time. So many different tactics, love the early removal and counter play. Here's what I've been using successfully, it relies on Conceal and Cannon Barrage for big damage:

Why do so many people want to nerf so many cards that are nowhere near problematic? Do people want zero powerful cards in the game? With this logic everything except vanilla minions would have to be nerfed.

People want something new, Blizzard comes with something new, deck defining quest, powerful hero cards, powerful Legendary spells and people complain these cards are too good and dont want them in the game. Then people complain about the game being stale.

The problem with these too-powerful cards is that the games become super swingy and devolve into a contest of who draws their OP card first. As someone who played this game before there was a "standard," I miss a lot of the back-and-forth minion play the used to occur. Games felt tighter and more uncertain. Now, once a certain card is played or quest completed, the game is pretty much over. Old insane combos like priest inner fire or Warlock faceless>Leeroy or freeze mage used to take an entire game to set up (maybe old druid Savage roar being the exception), but now, draw the right two cards, and on turn 5 or 6 the game is over.

I think Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron is rigged against me. It almost always mills (why does it keep casting Myra's Unstable Element!) or straight up kills me (one more Pyroblast to my own face and I may lose it), and never gives me a board clear when I need it. Yet for my opponents, it always gives them exactly what they need. I never had such consistent bad luck with Yogg. Praise Yogg.

    Quickest post-expansion nerf ever?

Maybe my way-too-early nerf thread was not too far off. If collective reasoning holds, we'll see something happen to Dr. Boom, Mad Genius and Conjurer's Calling

All my decks have a 40000% win rate. I go from rank 20 to #1 legend in 1 game.

I agree the card is not perfect, but it predictable enough to be extremely useful. In most games, I can create a scenario where I know I will get a certain card. My biggest issues have been inconsistency in getting Mass Dispel when I have enough mana and the opponent has several buffed/deathrattle minions on the board. For example, I was playing a Paladin who had just two Mechanical Whelps on the board, and it offered me Hex, a taunt and a board clear. Mass Dispel would clearly have been a better choice than Hex. It also seems to be not coded (or low priority coded) for health/armor gain. I almost never get healing or armor cards even when I'm really low on health. It usually gives me board clears or taunts instead.
